Fantastic hiking and camping area! We love visiting annually! This year the camp hosts were missing which we do not know why but the camp bathrooms were not even close to the standard as usual. There were plenty of park rangers driving through.
This is a great place to hike and the best part is that it's not very busy. Very scenic and the trails are in excellent shape. I would recommend Mueller State Park for hiking. Many of the trails we hiked on went down first and then you hike back up.
This is an equestrian friendly state park which is difficult to find. It is $10/day to enter the park, and well worth it. We took 2 mules for a day ride. The equestrian map provided by the park is easy to follow , nd they have trails for only horses. The parking is large and easy to park in, if you can get around the corner to get to the parking lot , hich is tight. They have water for the horses. There are 2 reservable horse camping areas with electricity available. The horse corals are nice sized and clean. We rode 12 miles of trail. The trails were easy, not rocky or steep. Highly recommend stopping here with horses.
Beautiful, well-kept State Park. They have so many fun programs for all ages. Guided hikes, Biggers archery, which was so well done! Their staff and volunteers are super kind and generous with their time. Clean and well spaced campsites and lots of trails!
Wonderful trails and views. Trails are easy and well marked. Clean and beautiful park. Campgrounds were meticulous!!
Enjoyed our 2 night stay at Mueller State Park. Campsite were spacious and restrooms and showers were clean. Plenty of options for easy, moderate hiking.
We decided to hike the wapiti self guided hiking trail. My sister was sure I had taken the longest trail & gotten us lost in a beautiful place but it was a loop & we came out fine I just don't know it's the length it says it is. They have parking & a nice visitors center & even the views from the parking lot are beautiful.
After hiking it, I think it’s the most scenic park in Colorado. That includes the national parks. Many vistas of Pike’s Peak, as well as distant ranges. The campground is super nice. It runs along a ridge. Well maintained. Lots to do.
Great place to camp, picnic, and hike. Gorgeous views.
Absolutely stunning campground. Beautiful views from each campsite with hiking trails everywhere. All campsites were level pavement with pea rock tent area, along with a fire pit and picnic table. Campsite are spacious for larger rigs/trailers as well. Roads can be slightly narrow but do-able when you take your time. There's an area for group camping and walk-in tent camping. The playground for the kids will keep the children protected and safe. The restrooms and surrounding property is clean and well cared for. We were luck to get 2 reservations here this year in 2023, and will plan on future visits in the following years to come. This is one of my favorite campgrounds so far.
