on wed,Aug. 10, 7:30pm, I walked into the ER with severe side and back pain. As woman was taking my info a "tech" stated that most likely had a kidney stone. A few minutes later as i was giving a urine sample he once again stated that i probably had a kidney stone. After sitting in the waiting room approx. an hour a blood draw was taken at which time the tech stated it looked like a kidney stone. After sitting in the waiting area in blinding pain for 6 hrs i was finally taken into the back. I was there approx. 1/2 hr later a nurse finally came in and gave me something for the pain. A scan was taken which confirmed a kidney stone. the Dr. came in confirmed it was a kidney stone. They filled me with a bag of fluids and some morphine and sent me home. My question is "why did it take so long to get relief from my pain and why did it take so long to see a DR." Third world medicine Munson. There were people in the waiting room who were in far less pain and/or no pain that were taken in ahead of me. I should have endured the extra 45 minutes to Traverse City. Hind sight is 20/20. Never again!
Incompetent hospital! Staff doesn’t even know the hospital social workers number. They sent my dad home 3x before and shouldn’t have. Now it’s Been a week and still haven’t transferred him and he’s only getting worse. I understand a hospital has to have room for him however I also know they can make him a priority to the accepting hospital. They actually said they are not qualified to tell my father what’s going on in his liver.
This is the worst, most disgusting hospital ER I have ever seen. I have worked in healthcare for many years and have a bachelor's degree in healthcare. I am appalled by the lack of cleanliness, absence of the use of basic protocol to ensure the safety of all visitors, and the blatant lack of adherence to HIPPA. Out of respect for people's privacy because unlike this hospital, I know how to follow HIPPA, I will not give details on what I witnessed. I would have been better off going to a veterinary clinic than this hospital. I will NOT being going there ever again. Even if my life is on the line, I will insist that someone chance the drive time to take me elsewhere. How this place is still in business and hasn't been shut down by authorities yet is beyond me. I gave 1 star only because I am not able to give negative stars.
Dad came in in an ambulance. Sat in your waiting for 3 hours. I thought people go to hospitals to avoid death! I understand short staff, but to ignore the patients waiting and letting them just walk out because sitting in your waiting room unattended is making them worse? Sad thing, my dad was just released from your hospital that morning after a 2 day stay. Your fault he needed to go back. What a joke! Is this why my mom died?? Terrible place!
Had to stop here at 2am on a Saturday because 2 yr old wasn't feeling well and there was no where open that sold baby medicine. They got her in immediately, and saw a Dr within the first 5min of checking in. Staff was so super friendly, and the whole visit wa sabout an hour long from the time we walked in and then walked out.
My doctor sent me for xrays on 12/30/2020 for possible broken ribs. Today is 1/6/2023, still no results, I have called, left my number, since no one answered the phone, two days ago, no call back, no records!! This is the third time I have had a bad experience with this hospital. Munson in Traverse City is just as bad, this area needs a real hospital!!!!

I came to the emergency room around 4 pm on July 4, 2022 because I was severe tooth pain. Everyone I had contact with was very professional, helpful, and compassionate. I so appreciate all that was done to relieve my extraordinary pain until I could see my dentist. Thank you all so much.
The E.R. has been great for me. I went in a cpuple times for some progressive issues, happened to go in each time when there were zero people in the waiting room. No issues with them whatsoever
Very rude and unprofessional in labor and delivery department. A woman yelled at me that I was going to walk up to for a question. As a registered nurse that was as unprofessional as it gets.
