The definitive Museum of Berkeley Springs. Located above the historic Roman Baths in the same building, the museum portrays the history and development of the town. Some pretty cool exhibits inside. The old fashion steam box makes for a great pic opportunity! Definitely worth a visit, why not, its free ?
We did take bath in the same building but different entrance, it is nice and private. Only thing is you have to keep calling them to make appointment until they answer otherwise walk in may wait for a while.
This is the typical solid small town museum run by friendly volunteers that celebrates a unique history. You'll learn about the Springs, the silica mining operations, George Washington's visit, and many other stories. Plan on spending no more than 45 minutes.
This is history worth repeating. Learning here is intriguing, from snakes causing fires to something George Washington really did: ate at a table. Then there is the huge 400 lb. hunk from the local mine sprouting crystals - even the Smithsonian doesn't have anything like it. Visit you will enjoy.
What a fascinating lost history. The healing springs of old Virginia were a wonderful attraction of the nobility of early America.
Wonderful free, donations accepted museum that shows how our springs deliver water, info on the local sand mine and local history exhibits.
Friendly staff. Interesting history to read.
Nice little museum showing history of Berkley Spings!
I have tried to go there two separate times and both times the doors are locked with no explanation of why they're locked nor are there any hours of operations posted anywhere.
Nice little place that tells the local history.
