We are dedicated to linking the past to the future by preserving, clarifying and disseminating information about history specific to the region.
We carry out that mission through the following programs and projects:
• Permanent and temporary displays in the Museum on Main Street
• Guest lectures, exhibits. Slide shows and panel discussions
• Special tours for school groups, Scout troops, and other youth and adult organizations
• Newsletters, pamphlets and other publications
• Outreach to newcomers seeking links to this community
• Celebration of Heritage Families and their contributions to the region
• Encouragement of interest in local history for all residents and visitors
• Special events, such as previews of new exhibits
• Interviews with Heritage Families and other significant individuals, to all to the oral history collection
• Acquisition, archiving and care of fine historic artifacts, documents, and photographs that enhance the role of the Museum on Main Street as an architectural and cultural resource.
