The campsite are nice and clean. The restrooms are clean and have hot showers. They also have shower outside to rinse off the sand. The jetties are great and loaded with fish. I caught my first red fish. No fishing license is required to fish at the state park.
Love Texas State Parks. They keep parks clean. They kept sand compacted so we were able to get a small car on the beach. Less crowded because once they reach capacity, no one is allowed in. We had an issue with tar on the beach but there are oil rigs off the gulf. Definitely would go again, even with one lady messing up our day.
We absolutely loved the experience we had here. The only thing were the restrooms/shower house were not kept very clean during our stay, but we had our camper to clean up when needed. They had Portera potties on the beach that could be used and some picnic bench as well. The price wasn't bad either. The beach police were very nice lol not police. We will definitely be returning. Playground: The beach is the playground and we enjoyed it and even went crab catching at night Restrooms: At the beach were good but campground needed some cleaning Picnic area: Clean
Had a fantastic time at the beach, the kids enjoyed building sand castles. The weather was nice, the water was warm and the kids found hundreds of crabs. The vibe was dope! Being able to park on the beach and set up your tent was super convenient. Get there early as it tends to get pretty full around 1100 especially on a Saturday.
Beautiful. It was easy to get great parking, the water was perfect, and we weren't attacked by jellyfish! My husband fished and caught several trout and catfish. I swam and played in the waves. We saw an octopus and many, many sea turtles. We visit here often, and have never had a bad visit!
Mustang State Park is a great place to go to watch the sunrise. If you want to go during the day, you need to be sure to get there early, because you have to buy tickets that cost five dollars per adult and the park limits the amount of cars and people that can attend the beach during the day. Fortunately, we stopped by early in the morning to grab a ticket, and when we came back later, they had already sold out around 3 PM. The beach sand is a lot whiter and cleaner looking than further down on the shoreline. There’s also a great area for fishing or looking for seashells and hermit crabs in the Rocky pier. We recommend going to the spot and it was the nicest beach that we found in Corpus Christi! this part of the beach allows you to drive your car right on and park near the water. There are no areas to wash off on the beach and Porta potty‘s in the parking lot, but there is wash area and restroom further out past the parking lot.
My daughter and I went yesterday afternoon. The water was warm and calm and the place was mostly empty. I was a little disappointed with how much trash was there. We didn't utilize the playground, bathrooms, or showers Overall, we'd come back again. I always support State Parks.
We really enjoyed our stay. The beach is just a short walk or drive away from the camp sites. The bathrooms and showers were clean, plenty of hot water. The camp sites are a bit too close to each other, but there is plenty of room to park & to turn around. There are no fire pits; only elevated BBQ grills for charcoal and wood. A public WiFi access point was recently installed near the bathrooms.
Would recommend for overnight camping. Specially for the camping beginners like me. I had a great time here viewing the clear sky mid night and sun rise early morning. Washrooms and showers are well maintained. Lot of crabs around in the sand. They comes out when no one is around.
Had a great time here. There's a place to shower bathrooms also you can drive up to the beach. The water was clear somewhat for Port Aransas. There was hardly no one there.
