I went to Atrium Thanksgiving day with covid. I was a lil scared and not breathing my best and wanted meds and or treatment. The ER Doctor pretty much told me to go home and deal with it because I was not vaccinated. After going home and getting worse I found online doctors that were a bit more understanding. I am finally getting better. I am just now feeling myself Dec 5th no thanks to Atrium.
Dirty! These dirty linens and blood did not belong to my mother in her stay at the ER! No housekeeping. No sanitation! This was the second room they gave to her bc the first had SOILED SHEETS ON THE BED! My mother was in this hospitals ER for 24 hours before an actual dr with some sort of knowledge gave us a clue as to what was going on with her! Such low nursing staff that a nurse from THE ICU department had to come administer my Mothers pain medication. That’s a completely different part of the building!! She wasn’t offered food or water even though she was NOT scheduled for surgery. She literally went over 24 hours before some sort of sustenance was given to her. My mother is currently still admitted here and sadly yes, she is STILL in the ER without a room! They are at capacity with no beds and no staff to properly give adequate patient care. I wouldn’t send my dog here! So many violations on a health hazard standpoint. Contemplating reporting the facility to the State of Ohio Medicare board, OSHA, the Health Department, and sending a very lengthly letter to the board of directors! I’m disgusted at the treatment my mother has received! It’s despicable!! Everyone walks around with a grouchy look on their face, no one works with any sort of urgency, especially to pain patients, and no one is taking responsibility for the poor standard of care. My mother has felt ignored, isolated, uncared for, disrespected, and that is absolutely reprehensible. If I could give 0 stars I would!
My mom came in by ambulance to the ER, both arms were broken in 6 different places. the nurses were amazing keeping her comfortable till her surgery. The surgeons and staff were excellent in the care putting her back together as best as possible. She has been here healing for the last 6 days and the care she’s received has been wonderful. So many sweet and caring people work here. Thank you all for the best care we could ask for!
Unfortunately, I’ve been hospitalized multiple times this year. This hospital is, by far, the cleanest. It is also thee best psychiatric facility I have been to. The care I received felt individualized and helpful for my own personal journey. Staff was amazing. No one that I came in contact with was unhelpful. Even the volunteers were great! Everyone was kind and willing to help any chance they could. I would recommend this place to anyone. Especially, considering I’ve been in a handful of hospitals… this is the best one yet.
Almost died here. Nurse didn’t take my temperature and then filled in that my temp was normal. After a Dr noticed I was extremely warm. Temp was actually 103.9. I was severely dehydrated. Ultimately stayed for 3 nights. I paid the supposed discounted co pay upfront, the staff didn’t turn in the appropriate paperwork to my insurance which was declined. Now after paying over a grand I’m getting bills because of the hospital neglect to turn in paperwork. I will never come to a premier network physician or hospital again.
The care I received at Atrium Medical Center was excellent. Went to the ER for a mild heart attack at around 12 pm , had two stints put in at around 4:30 pm and was released the next day around 3 pm the next day. From beginning to end, everyone involved took excellent care of me. When I am healed I will be back putting the miles in on my bicycle.
I had triple bypass heart surgery 8 days ago and l am already successfully recovering at home. I must first recognize my talented hear surgeon, Dr. Jon Miller, as well all the members of his team for their professionalism. In addition, the dedicated care l received by my nurses and support technicians was truly outstanding. It is a privilege to give Atrium Hospital in Middletown my highest rating.
The only positive aspect of this place is that it's clean. Practically everything else about it is unpleasant. Everyone that works here, even the janitorial staff, seem to have a curt and inexplicably unprofessional demeanor. It's incredibly off-putting and not at all what you would expect from a medical facility. I've had several different examinations, here, in which a nurse quite literally googled my issue and read what was on WebMD. Only use this place if you absolutely cannot get to another ER, seriously.
My mom recently came here by transport with a level 1 trauma and they did an amazing job in the ER. They were attentive and quick to respond to her needs. Ended up admitting her and the nursing staff and doctors were amazing. We had a few hiccups here and there but the staff was quick to respond to our needs and concerns and followed through with an action plan. The rooms are private, spacious, clean and well appointed.
I would give zero stars if I could. This is going to be a long one so settle in on Monday 9/26, I took my soon to be husband in after going to Kettering on Sunday 9/25, he had numbness in his left hand and arm and slurred speech. They treated him with a TIA after 2 CAT scans and an MRI with contrast and told him he had anemia. His blood/platelet count were VERY low but the doctors and nurses told us it wasn't "critical" enough to be concerned. They literally said that. They sent him home, after letting him lay in the ER all night telling him he was being admitted. The following Saturday, we went back to the Atrium with similar symptoms and they did all the SAME TESTS again CAT scan, blood work, MRI with contrast and this time, they told us it was a "pinched nerve" and to follow up with his primary care. Sunday morning, my soon to be husband was confused and within an hour, non-verbal. I called 911 and the paramedics actually LISTENED to me and allowed us to drive him to the Dayton VA, which we knew was a risk considering what was going on. The Dayton VA couldn't figure out what was happening and air cared him to Miami Valley Hospital 9 miles away and within hours we found out that Brad my soon to be husband has a rare blood disorder called TTP look it up and could HAVE DIED. He was treated immediately and spent almost 5 days in ICU. All the Atrium had to do was make a phone call that's what MVH did and within hours, there were 5 specialists involved and all 5 specialists agreed that if the Atrium didn't know, they should have CALLED ANOTHER HOSPITAL. Thankfully, due to the swiftness of the Dayton VA and MVH, Brad is alive and recovering.
