This is a take out restaurant.  The gentleman at the front, taking the orders was very nice. There was a tip bucket, obnoxiously placed in the forefront - a tip for what? It’s take-out.  The platters are reasonably priced at $19 but are NOT massive; I’d say sufficient.  They didn’t have fried wings which was disappointing. That was the whole reason for going in. Oxtails are on the menu but just for Sunday. For some reason they have the food all laid out, buffet style, which is an unnecessary opportunity for germs from customers and other things to get in. As a result, the food was not hot. It was lukewarm.  I got the Turkey wings, mac&cheese, and greens. The greens and m&c were just ok. The turkey wings tasted like too much chicken bullion or Lipton chicken mix was used as seasoning not that I’d think that you would need that for turkey wings. They were soft, tender, but not particularly browned and not particularly good.  The Pepsi was just cold enough and the best part of the meal.  They do take credit cards which is nice. Would I go back? No. But as a first-try, it was what you’d expect from most places these days.

The food is tasty. However, have a second choice in mind. Also, call your order in unless you have 15 to 20 minutes to wait. The staff is courteous and will make sure your order is correct. The entrance is still set up for the pandemic . It is a very tight waiting area so be mindful of the weather and park as close as possible. There is plenty of parking available. Take out only.

I visited this establishment on 8/9/23. I was greeted as soon as I entered the establishment. I ordered the fried whiting, Mac, yams and a side of collards. Every was yummy and you get a hefty platter. I’m planning on coming back on Sunday for the stuffed chicken breast!Food: 5/5

Delicious food. Max and cheese is very good

I was so excited to finally taste the food, but ended up disappointed. I waited an additional 20mins for fish to receive 1 full piece and 3 partials. My sides sat in the containers the entire time the fish was cooking, which ended up being cold. I had the wrong sides in one of my platters. I purchased 2 slices of yellow cake with chocolate icing, which turned out to be old and hard. Not satisfied at all!

First off it's extremely hard to get through the phone lines to place an order, it's even harder to place an order in person!! Very poorly managed! Today the two platters purchased were extremely skimpy and wayyyyy over priced!!! My smothered pork chops were hard and chewy and tasted like they may have been left over and reheated. One tiny piece of catfish for almost twenty dollars!! The collard greens were full of stems!!! I'm done!!

The best soul food I've had since moving to Philadelphia two and a half years ago. Everyone there was so nice and friendly. Definitely my new favorite spotFood: 5/5

Very crowded today. I ordered the Turkey wing platter and they were down to their last however it was good over white rice. I gave 4 stars because it was very hot inside.

1st time buying food from this store. Food was really good, reminded me of grandma's cooking. I would recommend this eatery.Food: 5/5

The food was okay. It wasn't hot nor was it seasoned properly. The potato salad was disgusting. I was very disappointed with the service as well.
