Check in was a breeze and the staff very helpful. Hook up was no problem but I will say the water hookup is a little low to the ground. We stayed in site 305 and had no issues getting into our site or setting up. We visited the pool and lazy river while there and enjoyed both. The staff and campers were all very friendly and considerate. I would no hesitate to book another stay here.
Absolutely wonderful campground! This was our first long distance beach trip with a travel trailer and we had a blast. Easy in, easy out. Everything was clean. Staff is friendly. The ocean front sites are amazing! Already counting down the days until we can return!Rooms: 5/5
Wife and I visited the inlaws after years of being invited down. Boy I wish we would have gone sooner. The entire resort is beautiful, the general store carried everything needed to stay there, the pool stayed open late and always have an event of some sort. The beach was a 3 min walk and it was never crowded. Kids activities most days. The community showers were so clean and provided plenty of privacy. All neighbors were fantastic. Just a great place to get away from it all. Rooms: They had several available at a good rate for Myrtle Beach Safety: Plenty of security and yet they still allow maximum fun within limits Food & drinks: The general store wasn't overpriced on essentials
The majority of the staff is very helpful and friendly. Some of the spaces are a little tight if you have a large fifth wheel. The closer you are to the beach, the more sand you will be dealing with in and around your campsite. The general store is well stocked and has a great selection of just about anything you may need, and if there is something else you need, the walmart is only about a mile away. The "Breakfast by the Beach" was always good. Fast friendly service, and good quality food. The only real complaint I would have is that they don't seem to enforce some of their rules. There was lots of kids on electric bikes zipping around not watching out for people around them, and others would block the beach access with their bikes. ...right next to the signs that said no parking of vehicles, bikes, or golf carts. All in all, we will be back next year.
My dad grew up going here and made it a yearly tradition we always looked forward to every summer. It's a great memory and such a safe place. Tons of things to do , especially for kids . They are really well managed and very family involved .Rooms: 5/5
This was our first year to this campground and we will be back! Our stay was originally from 8/21-8/25 and we loved this place so much we stayed an extra day! Starting at check-in staff was extremely friendly. The lady who checked us in explained everything, told us hours of all amenities, drew on the map to show us the best route to our spot, and chatted me up about her time living in PA our home state. Our spot was 57 and it was honestly the perfect location. Our daughters were able to play at the basketball and volleyball courts and still be in our sight of view. We only had to walk a couple feet and we were on the beach and the breakfast spot was right by us! The biscuits for their breakfast sandwiches are delicious! There was also a grass strip on the other side of the pavilion we were able to walk our dogs four of them up and down since they were not fans of using the restroom in sand. The pool was a quick bike ride away and the attendant was so friendly. Our daughters were so excited they forgot the "dont run" part quite a few times and he did not yell at them once just reminded them to slow down. He also watched and cheered on their trick jumps into the deep end. We stayed at the pool until closing a few days as well and he did not rush us out but simply reminded us of such and would say "but get in 5-10 more minutes". My husband and I also decided to do a night time bike ride and check out the permanent places for sale because who wouldn't love living at the beach and didn't realize riding at night was against campground rules until security caught up to us. He was also extremely friendly and just asked us to start heading back to our site but not rush. Out of all the places weve camped this was by far the best, not a single staff member was grumpy or off-putting, all four of our dogs were welcomed, and you can tell they clearly take care of the amenities provided. My only suggestion would be to start trash collection earlier the birds were relentless at picking apart everyone's trash and staff members had to do a lot of extra work to clean it up.
Let me start by saying that I gave a one-star rating only to get management's attention. Everything about MB Travel Park was excellent. From the pools, the lazy river, concession stands, bath houses, and overall cleanliness of the park. All the employees were friendly except for the one I dealt with at the office. I believe her name was Michelle. Anyway, I'm handicaped and was requesting a pass for my golf cart. My handicap placard was outdated so she wouldn't give me the pass. I explained that the up-to-date one was in my car at home. She also insisted that the insurance declaration page for my golf cart didn't show an ending date. However, the insurance card clearly showed a beginning date and ending date. I then asked to see a manager and I explained all of this to her. The manager agreed to give me a pass this time but next time I should have the up-to-date placard with me. I totally understood and assured her I would. Throughout this whole process Michelle was arrogant with me and was noticeably mad that I asked to speak to a manager. She even had the GALL to tell me, a paying customer, that I was mean to her. I WILL be going back to MB Travel Park as we had a wonderful time but hopefully, I won't see her at the office.
Not a single bad word to say about this park. It was quite, GREAT location. The pools were awesome. I loved the lazy river and the kiddy splash pad. Food from the hungry dolphin was decent. And staff was super friendly. Miss Mary at the registration desk had great recommendations for local food Nearby activities: So much todo locally. Walmart is almost walking distance for any last minute things you need. Safety: Loved the 24 hour gate security
This is our only place to stay when we are in the area. Camp sites can be tight but they are manageable. Beach is incredible and pools are well kept and clean. The staff is friendly and efficient, we keep coming back and always enjoy the stay.Rooms: 4/5
Park is very nice. Great location to the beach and necessary amenities. Laid back in comparison to the other mega parks in Myrtle if that's important to you. My complaint is the speed limit is not enforced. I was There for 12 days and never once saw security riding around. We faced Tampa trail- which is directly off the main road. Vehicles just flew up and down the road all day long headed to the beach and back. So bad at one point that I and another camper yelled at a car to slow down as it blasted past our sites. Need to place some speed bumps or find a way to control the speeding.
