It is mostly a visual experience with memorabilia and video being the key components. I am a basketball fan and happened to travel through as it was not my final destination. But is it enjoyable for hoops fans ... ? The fact that it is the Hall of Fame is what gives it meaning more so than what's inside. Is it worth making the pilgrimage? If you live less then a 4 hour drive away, then yes, but not more than that.
A little pricey, but we were on vacation and its a tourist spot. But worth a one time trip for sure. Lots of history. Can do the whole place in about 2 hours, unless you like to read every article and plaque, then 3-4 hours. Huge full size basketball court for the kids to play on with no time limit. NO one on one, not organized games. Just shooting and some dunking
I took my dad as he was visiting from Puerto Rico and is a die hard basketball fan,.. he was impressed and felt like a little boy all over again. I'm not a basketball fan but truly enjoyed this beautiful place which is full of history. Worth the trip especially if you're a fan. The place is three floors, with arrows guiding you through out.
The place to visit for the total history about basketball. Covers every aspect and important and monumental moments in the sport. Former players visit and speak as well as many exhibits. The basketball courts are fun. The gift shop has memorabilia worth purchasing.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
First-time visitors and we were impressed. It's a lot more interactive than we anticipated. Plenty of items for visits to touch or hold. They have a great visual interaction with all the windows. Staff are pleasant and interact without being invasive to the experience. Video screen cubby spaces to learn more about players in addition to the big theater. The court is clean and plenty of options to use sanitizer for those who appreciate having that available.
Great place, fun too see the history and record. Would like more items of players. Fun fact, you can practice basketball after!!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$21–30
As a basketball fan this place was straight up awesome and staff are so friendly! They got game worn attire from the past ex. Wilt Chamberlain 100 pt. Game worn jersey. Piece of the hardwood Jordan hit the game winning shot from. They even got a basketball court inside you can shoot around in! Definitely a museum you need to check outVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Our 1st time here. What a lot of effort to detail. So much information, and my grandson loved his time on the courts. Worth the 10 hour drive from Canada.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Best place ever!!! EVERY SINGLE staff member was so so so kind and caring to make the experience great. The Kobe tribute is incredible and the gym after the museum to shoot around is a great finishing touch. This museum is great for all basketball fans and non basketball fans, and a great learning opportunity to understand the history of the game and how it developed to where it is today.
Loved this place. I'm not a fan of any sport. We came because my son loves basketball. The place is beautiful with lots of things to see and some interactive things to do. We spent about 3 hours in here. My son loved it! We all had fun shooting the basketball around as well.
