Go into Napoli's expecting to get what you pay for. Plastic table cloths and cup wear give the restaurant more of a quick lunch Fast Casual feel than fine dining. The lay out is open, paintings hang on orange swirl walls, and classical music plays. The wait staff is prompt although not very knowledgeable about the dishes. It may just have had a new waitress but she seemed confused when I asked for suggestions. The restaurant has not been open for long so I imagine this will change soon as the waitstaff gets more accustomed to the menu. After quickly reading the menu, I ask the waitstaff to help me pick between lasagna or eggplant parmesan. I did not pick up on the fact that the lasagna had beef in it and ordered it in error. Once it arrived the dish looked amazing but I could not eat it as I am vegetarian. After some uncomfortable negotiations, I offered to return the meal and pay for it. The waitstaff talked to the owner/manager and allowed the lasagna to be replace with eggplant parmesan. This brings me to the best part about this restaurant! The staff was gracious, kind and expedient. My food arrived quickly. The tomato sauce was bright, fresh, herb filled and flavorful. The eggplant itself was lacking. The over all texture was a bit rubbery, and the bread crust clumped, was over seasoned, and over salted. This greatly detracted from the eggplant, as the eggplant slices themselves were sliced too thin to distinguish within the bread crumbs. So the dish effectively became bread crumb parmesan. The cheese was melted well and was about what you would expect. The meal is served with bread rolls that are served warm and are pretty delicious especially paired with the tomato sauce. The lunch menu is very affordable and great if you're on a budget. I will most likely visit again to try other dishes because others around seemed to be delighted with their food. I would rate 3.5 stars but Google limits me, so I am giving 4 stars to be generous.
Great food, great wait staff, and LARGE portion sizes. Atmosphere needs a little work, but it's not enough of a reason to avoid eating there.
I was so glad when I heard that Laramie was finally getting an Italian place. I went in for dinner with my sister and got about what I expected - a homey Italian restaurant that clearly wasn't a chain. As I really prefer to eat at small, local places, this was a plus for me. Sitting down to eat, we were served some of the best bread of my life by a very friendly waiter. I ordered the Fettichini Alfredo and was pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted. However, it was a bit too greasy and didn't sit well later into the night. My other comment is that at the time I dined they were not serving alcohol of any kind. I have heard that has since changed, but I admit to being a little disappointed at the time. All in all, I plan on coming again!
I'm so pleased with my experience with Napoli's. I'm only in town for one night and arrived at my B&B starved but with no intention of going anywhere but to bed. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and a small mixed greens salad for delivery, and online ordering was super easy. Danny delivered my food right to my door and was so gracious. My meal was the perfect end to a long day of meetings and travel and was exactly what I needed for a super affordable price. Next time I'm in Laramie, I will definitely be stopping by Napoli's in person.
I went in for lunch. There was one other customer. Service was non existent since I needed to retrieve a server from the back to order. 45 minutes from ordering my food arrived. It LOOKED good but either the cook had never heard of Italian spices or just forgot. The marinara tasted like food processed tomatoes, the pasta was Luke warm, and I still had to hunt down the waitress for a refill. I choose to visit restraints a month after opening so they can get the gremlins out but this place is terrible. It's also very overpriced for the small serving size.
This is a nice restaurant with a nice selection of food and alcoholic beverages. I had the baked salmon which was still raw in the middle and so it would have been nice to have been asked how i wanted it cooked, but I ate it and it was fine. I'll just ask them to bake it a little longer next time. The vegetables were fine, but I could have done with a bit more sauce on my plate to roll them around in. My wife had ravioli with marinara/alfredo sauce and I tried it and it was very nice. The restaurant could do with the lights turning down a little and please have some music playing! It was weird eating in silence and hearing what everyone else was saying to each other. Or what everyone was trying not to let you hear because they were speaking in hushed tones. Overall, I really did like the restaurant and staff and will go back, but it just needs more atmosphere and a touch more care about the way the food is served. And lets have some real glasses!
The staff was great and the food was amazing. Warm buns my son had 5 to start off and then my Mom and I shared the chicken parmesan. I wished we hadn't shared but the portion was perfect for us to share. My son had a personal pepperoni pizza. He ate a couple pieces and took the rest to go and yes with the left over buns.
I found it to be pretty disappointing. The first thing I noticed when I went in was that it smelled of chlorine it some other cleaning material. The service was prompt and I was seated and received my drink quickly. Overall the service was good. But, my food was not good at all. I ordered a chicken Cesar salad and the chicken was incredibly rubbery. I picked it out, but much of the lettuce was pink so I had to pick that out as well. Not really interested in going back.
Clearly still in the new restaurant phase with continued adjustments being made. A liquor license will help to add wine pairings to a oversized menu! Brett was very personable & did a good job with his service! The food was excellent! As recommended, we had the Seafood Combo & Sausage+Peppers Looking forward to the next trip already!
The venue is poorly ventilated. The windows were fogging and the air smelled like chlorine when we walked in. The decor and furnishings were sub-par for an Italian restaurant, and despite having three rooms, we were sat next to several other parties, and right next to the door of the kitchen. The bread was good, but was served on a plastic, fast-food-like tray. The entrees left something to be desired, but the food was not bad. I thought the spaghetti wasn’t anything spectacular, and quite bland. Our server was polite, and I almost feel bad leaving this review, because I understand how difficult it is to make it in the food industry, but I definitely won’t be returning. One of the waiters was even wearing a wrinkly shirt, which I know is nit picky, but that is just another thing that added to the weirdness of the experience.
