I had to go to the lab and than registration before I went under for surgery. The lab ended up finding my paperwork and got me right in. When I went to register there were people waiting in line. There was also people cutting the line and just going right to the window. So I was waiting as the nurse from Surgical day care called me to see were I was. I explained that I had already did my labwork but I am standing in the registration line and some people are very agitated right now. She told me just to come to surgical daycare and they would situate it. Once I got there they started my registration and got me all situated in a room. The nurses were very kind and helped me stay calm, since I was nervous. They were amazing and I appreciate all of there help and care. The doctor explained what I was getting done and he had a good bedside manner. The Anesthesiologist was very nice. I am very thankful they all took good care of me. I appreciate all of there help and time.
All were helpful and pleasant! The nursing staff and the doctors new exactly what to do and did there job in a timely manner. I’m happy to choose Nashoba Valley Hospital as my place for all my medical needs!
Horrible experience! The ER Dr. dismissed me on a Friday. I had to go back Saturday and was so sick at that point I ended up being admitted, with a serious infection, for six days. Floor 2 nurses are HORRIBLE. No continuity with meds. Leave you hanging for HOURS after requesting help. They have terrible attitudes and bedside manner. I had to get the Patient Advocate involved just for standard treatment! Will never step foot in this hospital again.
Nursing staff was rude. Son waiting in pain, sat for an hour without being seen. I understand doctors may be addressing more serious patients but someone could have at least addressed the pain and the nurses could have stopped to check in. People are vulnerable when they don’t feel well or are in pain and the rude staff makes the situation worse. Nurses should be kind, respectful and caring. These nurses were sitting at the desk and when I kindly asked if they had any idea when we would see someone, both nurses were rude. Sorry but you should not be a nurse if you don’t have compassion!!!
Horrible ER. Disgusting behavior from nurses gossiping about patients, not listening to patients when trying to explain what is wrong, and also the wait times were atrocious. I would understand if I wasn't doubled over in pain, throwing up and passing out in the ER. Not one nurse or doctor checked me in the waiting room as I was in and out. When I got put back into a bed finally they did nothing. I was so defeated I just said discharge me. Never again will I go to this ER.
Very disappointed with the service rendered at NVH. I waited over four hours to be told to put a band aid on my frost bite ear. There is no sense of emergency or urgency for care. The staff is rude and unprofessional. They were dismissive and sat around on their cell phones while people needed true help. This does not operate as an emergency room should.
I had a rather unusual problem and needed help from the oncology/infusion unit with minimal follow-up instruction from the ED. I was hard pressed for time due to important business elsewhwere. Teresa, the nursing supervisor in Oncology, was extremely kind and helpful. She could have been frustrated with the situation but instead focused on how best to help me. Nashoba Valley is really lucky to have her on the team. She took care of me and got me on my way quickly. I'm very appreciative for her compassion and urgency!
The hospital and machinery is outdated and lacking what it needs to provide care. My young daughter sat in the ER all night with her dad, sleeping in the waiting room chair, while sick, and left early in the morning, without being admitted and seen by a doctor yet. No care was provided. In addition, the staff is hit or miss in every department. Some staff is friendly and most are cold, and not interested. They are like robots, just going through the motions. I went in for an MRI, which I am deathly afraid of, and had high anxiety about. The tech put me into the machine and did not replace my mask, which had a metal clasp. No metal can go inside with you. He was about to start the machine when I noticed I was still wearing my mask and pressed the button frantically to get out. Once out, he replaced the mask and put me back into the tube. I tried to calm myself and got the courage to continue the process. To my disappointment the radio was repeating one song, over and over again, not doing its job to distract and calm me down. Not kidding, he’ll on earth for me. I can’t believe the hospital is being rated so highly. It’s very middle of the road, on a good day.
We waited for a long time, my children and I were sick. I was in pain and crying, and my child was shivering with a fever. The nurse called us and took us to the room. I told her we needed a blanket. She said no, you have a fever. She speaks arrogantly and is angry when I do not understand what she is saying. She repeats it when she is angry. She left the room and came back again. She arrogantly said, “Put your son with you or on a chair, we need a bedMy son was asleep and sick. We are in the room, five people with a viral infection. She wants to leave us only one bed I wanted to take her name from Badge, unfortunately, only RN could not find a name, she is racist and treated us as if we were insects, she wore a big blue ring on her finger with blue nail polish The thing and her hair was short, her size was wide, she was in her forties and blonde The strange thing is that the Asian doctor came to see what the problem was, laughing. He said this is a virus. He did not prescribe a medicine for the inflammation of the eyes that we all suffer from, and he did not take into account the fever that does not come down for five days. We left the hospital and went to the pharmacy to search for a cure for the eyes It was a farce and a waste of time. The idea of going to this hospital is the last time. No to racism. We are equal, like the teeth of a comb.
After taking my daughter to urgent care and not getting the treatment she needed I took her to the ER here. They were phenomenal from admitting to care. They were very accommodating and checked in many times. They made her very comfortable and gave her the treatment she needed very quickly. I couldn’t have been more happy and will skip urgent care from now on. Amazing staff!!
