For some reason I decided to visit this place on that day in April where it was like snowing... anyways regardless of the cold I am so happy that I went. I found this place by accident, but God, thank you for that! If you can visit the city cemetery make sure you do! Tomb stones from 1760s, so worn you only know it's a marker... honestly. I felt better sweet, because how relentless time is. It's only been 200 years.
So beautiful and full of history.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
Pretty peaceful grounds despite the sounds of the train rattling by. Some old interesting headstones though I'm spoiled from walking the cemeteries of New Orleans.
One of my favorite places to picnic. I enjoy the history. So many founding fathers mayors and Civil War figures are here along with some unique and memorable monuments. Don't miss it.
For the full hour I spent there on a warm Saturday afternoon I was the only person to cross the threshold. A beautiful, peaceful cemetery to daydream in. Not to mention its interesting historical info kiosks, one of which allows you to search the cemetery's records interactively.
Large with a lot of history. Under the trees is beautiful
