Wish no one needs to be here for treatment/care/medical appt. I am a caregiver, and the experience I have at this MSK location has been nothing but beyond. The staff members we have come in contact with or know us by now have all been empathetic, caring, professional and special. The facility is new and beautiful but it really is the people who make this place special for patients who are battling a horrible disease. It's a 2 level building with ample spaced out waiting area. The treatment suites are roomy and most with a big window. They are nicer than the treatment rooms in the city. This is also their newest facility in the system
I am utterly devastated and deeply discontented with the abysmal treatment my loved one received at the hospital. The level of neglect and apathy displayed by the staff and doctors was incomprehensible. In a time when my brother needed compassion and hope, he was instead met with indifference, which has irrevocably shattered our faith in this institution. Their callous actions snatched away his only chance for survival, culminating in his untimely demise. Such a heartbreaking loss could have been prevented with even a modicum of genuine care and attention. This experience has left an indelible mark on our lives, forever tarnishing our perception of healthcare providers.
Fine, the good things: there are a number of people that are competent here. Bad things: there are some people here who would rather sugar coat things so they don't have to deal with it and offer solutions that could easily cost you your life. Man you'd think that if you're treating patients you would want to make sure that patient communication is a top priority. It's not at this facility. Any phone calls are frequently unanswered. Messages on the portal are generally not responded to. Changes to the schedule or even PRESCRIPTIONS that are filled has often NO patent notification. I can't even change appointments that are suddenly given because they refuse to either answer, message, or even entertain changing the appointment. If there was an anonymous evaluation, the teams that I'm dealing with would get a one for communication. Even the pain management team took almost 5 MONTHS to get in touch. What, were they hoping the problem would resolve itself at the CANCER center??? Holy ****

Please think twice about using this facility with elderly family. Brought my 80 year old mom for immunotherapy for 2:15 appt. They moved the appt WHILE we were waiting to 2:45pm and then delayed until 3:45 as pharmacy backed up. Making seniors wait 2 hours+ with no updates, etc. is just unprofessional.
Amazing brand new facility. Was driving by and was very impressed. Decided to stop by and check out the building, talked to management about potential jobs, etc. Good to have a hospital of this calibery on LI - though may no one ever experience cancer.
MSK is known to be the best?? I don't think so...my son had a late MRI appointment & he needed to be evaluated first. The look on their faces was clear that they did not want to have anything to do with him because they would be stuck late at work. Instead they push him off to the MSK in the city & he never gets the MRI needed for a surgery. AGAIN MSK and the medical field lets me down.
Here on the opening day! So impressed with this state-of-the-art facility right here in Nassau County! Beautifully decorated, lots of amenities. Great to be able to get treatments and testing in the same location. The one thing I’m glad never changes is the staff. The MSKCC staff stays true to form...professional, friendly, super-helpful and caring. They are top notch.

First I would like to rate the facility. As far as the facility goes I would rate it a 4/5. The waiting areas outside of the treatment area are above average and very comfortable for the waiting times. When you get into the treatment area the family seating area seem to be lacking in the comfort needed for the amount of time that family members have to stay during treatment. Finally the treatment suites are fresh and larger but again lack the comfort for the hours that family has to stay. Also there could have been a suite tv so family and patient could have watched together along with additional table space. 5/5 Wait time are extremely bearable. They are doing a great job managing there patient load and appointments schedules. KUDOS 5/5 Staff as with all of the other MSKCC facilities the staff is AAAA+++++. I have been a patient at MSKCC since May 2 2016 going on 4plus years an I am stating this with confidence. I have been in the main campus and still go there, I go to Commack, I went to RVC and now Uniondale. No matter what department I have ever encountered I have not once had a less than pleasurable experience. Everyone goes out of their way to be kind, courteous, and have exceeded my expectations in care and or service the they provide. When you read this you might say the this commentary is impossible to have 100% good rating but this is what I have received. There is a reason why MSKCC is rated the number two cancer hospital in the us and the staff is a big part of it. THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE DEDICATED EMPLOYEES OF MSKCC YOUR EFFORTS DO NOT GO UNNOTICED AND ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED. AGT
