- Extremely helpful and attentive staff. - More than enough parking on a weekday afternoon. - Not crowded at all. - Bathroom is big and clean. - Mask is optional. - Smaller but still extensive specimen and information for a six year old, very educational. You could even download the app or scan the code for their website for more information. - The brain exhibition is very interactive, my daughter loves it very much. - Also she was intrigued by the President Lincoln and World world 1 and face reconstruction exhibition. - It’s definitely not a Smithsonian museum but five star for how organized, unique it is and how nice the staff is.
You have no idea until you go here!!! An experience like no other, and the staff knows so much about every exhibit. We now know about 2 other museums we will be visiting. Thank you for that! Being in the medical field, there is always something new to learn, but the history here is something you can not put a price tag on!!! Not posting pics of the exhibits. YOU NEED TO EXPERIENCE THIS IN PERSON!!! One thing I can say is this is a quiet zone! You may want to think twice about visiting if you have small children.
This was a sort of spontaneous visit but it was so cool. Even if you know nothing about the human body you will still be so entertained with the quirky exhibits. I spent maybe a hour here. People that were working there were super helpful and very much knowledgeable about the topics. I recommended 100%.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
It's an awesome museum with incredibly cool artifacts. For its size they cram in a lot of really interesting body parts, medical advancements and innovations. I wish it was bigger so I could look at more! I love going here on field trips, my students thoroughly enjoy it.
This was an interesting little museum. My 6 year old was enamored with the brain exhibit. It reminded me of the Mutter museum in Philadelphia but alot smaller. Its an fun little outing. It would be great to visit and then head over for some food in downtown Silver Spring.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Fascinating, free museum located in a slightly remote part of Silver Spring. Super friendly and engaged staff greets you and is fun to talk to about the displays. Displays range from old medical devices, brains disfigured from injury, conjoined twins in a jar, various body parts and medical inventions and technology. If you have a weak stomach, you may need to skip over a few things, but found it fascinating. It's a little museum, probably 45-60 min to walk through, but if you have an interest in science and history, it's a very unique site. Enjoyed it!
Wonderful staff. The museum is pretty small but very interesting, highly recommend!

If you ever wonder how life is saved or forced to let go at the chaotic times, you would learn a lot here. War after one and another, they had come a long way... The museum is free of charge, and I think it's worth everyone's time and respect.
