Marytown is the National Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe, OFM Conv., recognized as a "Hero of Auschwitz" and "Martyr of Charity" by Saint Pope John Paul II. Marytown features the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, where Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration has been conducted 24/7 since 1926. The Chapel has daily Mass, rosary, Divine Office, Benediction, Confessions twice daily Monday - Friday, and Conventual Mass on Sunday. Marytown also includes the, Kolbe Holocaust Exhibit, Retreat & Conference Center and extensive Gift and Book Store.
The Conventual Franciscan Friars of Marytown, the sons of St. Francis and conferes of our patron St. Maximilian Kolbe, live in devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and seek always and everywhere to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world!
