Unbelievable!!! What an amazing way to honor and showcase what these amazing women had done for our country and women in general. Everything was beautifully displayed and organized. It was very clear how to follow the order of everything. They had interactive flight link trainers and flight simulators. Everything was perfectly clean. No fingerprints to be seen in any of the glass display. I spend so much time here looking around.
I came here with my father and uncles all are Army Vets just the other day. I love history and it was awesome to learn about how women participated in the war effort during WWII. Just seeing these displays and reading about some of the women and men, was cool. Especially reading about the Black women who became pilots went on to do big and amazong things for the military of the United States. If you have not been before, I HIGHLY recommend taking a drive to Sweetwater and taking the tour of this awesomely amazing place. Learn your history and how women, white and black, contributed to the military and the war effort. This is especially gr8 for little girls who have dreams of becoming a pilot or astronuat. Enjoy the photos
I really enjoyed the historical value. Gift shop has affordable items! Great overnight for RVs through Harvest Host.
What a fantastic place! I loved hearing about these ladies and their sense of fun and determination to help before the armed forces would officially allow women to fly. The whole museum is done with love and a sense of fun. There is a video that is great to watch at the beginning and a super fun high-tech "training room" in the back that is really neat. And all for a free museum! I just loved the pictures of the ladies in their older years in hangar 2 - what a joyful bunch! And if you like this, go see the Silent Wings Museum in Lubbock. First, there's a better example of the trainers they used there, plus I wonder if some of these ladies towed the men in the gliders at Silent Wings. Regardless, don't miss this museum if you are nearby!
One of my all time favorite museums! Such amazing staff and a beautiful memorial for some of the fiercest women in US History. Highly recommend if you've never gone or if you've been 100 times. These women have been a huge inspiration to so many women and they deserve to be recognized. Especially if you haven't been recently, YOU NEED TO GO! The staff has made some amazing changes to the museum that truly show more of the importance of these WWII aviators.
So this is totally free they do ask for a donation we did go in Bought some stuff in the gift shop and then put in a little bit of a donation we had a blast I would totally recommend that you go there's not really a lot to see here or personally do but it is a lot of funVisited onWeekend
Loved this place. The staff was friendly and the exhibit was informative and well-organized.
For being a free donation encouraged facility, I svery impressed by this museum. It was very well done and informative. The staff was very informative and friendly. My teens enjoyed meandering through the history. They loved the flight simulator! I wish we would have had more time to read everything but we were on a time crunch driving through the area. It's worth the time.
Very informative and very well done. Well worth the visit and I applaud the museums work. As I walked through this and similar museums I’m reminded how much has been accomplished by women and minorities over the years, decades and centuries with initiative and hard work that we just don’t recognize, emphasize and talk about today. Sad.
Being an Air Force Veteran myself, this museum was amazing! These women are true Heroes and blazed the way for future generations to serve proudly! So thankful for these women. A must stop along your travels!
