This place is a scam!! Went in a few weeks ago with cold-like symptoms. Someone looked me over and took my vitals. Got a covid test just to be cautious. Had no other work or tests done. Got a bill for over $500 AFTER insurance paid $300. I was also charged for a new PCP when I wasn’t even looking for one. Never going back here or any NW community affiliated place ever again! My stepdad went to Vitality urgent care and was diagnosed with new onset AFIB and pneumonia and his out of pocket was under $100.
To say I was disappointed by their care of my employee is an understatement. The amount of time it took for him to be looked at was wild, and then, instead of receiving a stitch or two, they gave him an unnecessary x-ray. If his wound wasn't deep enough for a stitch, why would it need an x-ray? When I tried to contact Dr. Gandhi about the choices that were made, I was told she was busy, and I would be contacted once she was done with the patient. Never called back. When calling again, they sent me to voice-mail. Terrible practice all around, go to one of the many others in the area. This place is a joke, and once you are in the door, apparently, you've agreed to unnecessary procedures. Beware!
I've used this place multiple times and it is not what is in the best interest of the patient but the best interest of their pocket. I used them and they forced me to pay out of pocket because my work insurance and personal insurance would fight over it so I needed to just pay..... that's why I pay for insurance let them settle it... Now I send an employee for a minor cut and try to pay out of pocket and they tell me no it must go through workman's comp and then proceed to do unnecessary x-rays and didn't even stitch the wound. I guess when I was told the $372 quote would be off she should've mentioned it would not even be close. BEWARE OF DR. GANDHI $HE IS NOT LOOKING OUT FOR YOUR BE$T INTERE$T...
Tired to see doctor before they close on Sunday April 30th. I got there 10 minutes before 6pm and was told we can not see you as we close at 5:45pm. I have been here several times with all my family members and never been told we can't see you. This was the worst experience i have received. If you don't want to see people then on your website write you close at 5:45pm and not 6pm. I walked in several times and was told by other front staff as long as someone comes in before 6pm we have to take them. No matter what. If the rules change then change your website.
Zero Stars. I came in feeling really sick. Symptoms include fever, abdominal pain, throwing up, diarrea. Explained my symptoms to the guy behind the counter which seemed he wasn't in the mood to be there. While checking in, I noticed a sign on the counter listing all symptoms I had as Covid-19. I thought to myself, that's what I have, The Corona Virus. Finally got called to the back and there was no doctor that day, only a Physicians Assistant that didn't have a clue of my symptoms. Her name is Anna and didn't know what she was doing. She ordered unnecessary tests and not once did she mention Covid 19. She ordered a blood test which nothing came of it, she just said there was a little inflammation. Then she did a Cat Scan of my abdominal which she said it was negative, then she did a Strep Throat test which I told her my throat didn't even hurt, but she wanted to do it anyway. Then she wanted to a bathroom stool test. I finally stopped her in her tracks and told her I was finished here. I went somewhere else and they immediately did a Covid test which it was positive. All this time I had Covid but this so called Dr. Anna at Northwest Community didn't even do a Covid test. I guess they just play the guessing game with test after test of unnecessary tests to bill you all they can. Again, Zero Stars, avoid this place.
Immediate Care IT IS NOT - I beg to differ?!?! 1. There's always 1 person at the front desk. 2. Normally one would go to an IC instead of an ER hoping that you'd actually get attended "immediately" and not wait for 3-4 hours. 3. Apparently, theirNCH E.R. in Arlington Heights is worst - waiting time is 4-6 hours. 4. It's bad enough patients get charged tremendously on copays and deductibles. 5. One could just pass out or puking blood in the waiting room before actually getting any "immediate" attention. 6 Also, did not like the treatment from one of the nurses Brianna F. - Rude and somewhat condescending, so unprofessional.
They have a lab, so you get PCR results IN 20 MINUTES! No waiting 3-5 days. Front desk & nurses & doctor were super friendly & efficient. Said the wait would be 4 hours, it was 2 1/2. At high volume times like these, you’ll wait no matter where you go. You wait in your car & they call you. I would come here again in a heartbeat. EXCELLENT.
Went in for worsening pain and stiffness in my knee. Waited over 3 hours in the waiting room. Finally got seen only to be told everything looks fine and take Aleve and if it gets worse to come back. I already said it’s done nothing but gotten worse which is why I was there to begin with. I still don’t know what’s wrong and I’m sure going back won’t give me any answers either.
Friendly customer service is lacking as evidenced by the guy working lab check in on 2/6 in the AM. No greeting, no smile, and was actually rude when I asked for clarification on the consent form. There are other jobs suited for folks with no people skills or basic customer service acumen - this isn’t one of them. Rest of experience was decent and other staff I interacted with and provided lab services were friendly and helpful.
Went in, me and another person were waiting. They got to both of us really fast. The wait time was only about 5-10 minutes. It could of been cause it was slow. I saw a nurse right away, she listened to me and got me in a room and was doing test right away. All of the nurses and the doctor were extremely kind and helpful. They listened to me and were not dismissive. The doctor was very informative and went over everything they tested for, even offered me additional test I could get. I felt like they actually did care and were there for me.
