The ER waiting room experience was not good. My 90 year old mother waited 4 hours to be seen. The aggressive ER bouncer made all family members leave the waiting room and wait outside in 90 degree heat..so my frightened, sick mom was alone…. The atmosphere was prison-like. No masks required and people were coughing. However, once we were actually assigned a room we had a wonderful experience. Our nurse’s name was Amanda and she was outstanding.
I just recently gave birth to our first born at NCH the birth place and it was amazing! From the lobby to the end of our stay there everyone was super nice and made us feel very comfortable and well taken care of. Each nurse we had taught us a lot of good information and tips. All around a super amazing experience! We want to say thank you so much!
NCH Dr. And Staff took excellent care of my husband while in ICU with sepsis. We were extremely pleased with care and compassion of the staff. They truly saved my husband’s life. Also the ED did a quick assessment of the problem We are grateful for the Dr.‘s and staff at NCH North.
Thank god I wasn't dying... or I'd be dead for sure, after the care I never got. I was brought by ambulance to the ER at NCH North Naples Hospital for heat exhaustion and dehydration. The paramedics in the ambulance knew I needed fluids but were unable to find a vein. Confident that the ER team would take it from there, they transferred me to a bed and wished me well. That was the last drop of care I received. A nurse came in, wrote something on the board, hooked me up to the pulse/oscitimiter and the blood pressure cuff, then turned to leave the room after informing me that if I needed anything, I should press the button. When I asked her name, she rudely gestured over to the board and told me to read it - that she had written it on the board. I was in no condition to read anything - I was dizzy and seeing stars. I asked for a warm blanket but was told I couldn't have anything until seen by the doctor. After 45 minutes of begging, they finally allowed my husband to join me. We then waited for 2 hours and 45 minutes, during which time NO ONE came in to check on me or let us know why the delay. My husband tried to get someone's attention and was told, rudely, that the really sick people were on the other side of the ER and that we would have to wait until they were all taken care of. While I didn't wish to cause any harm to anyone else, I was in a bad way. I needed fluids and was told I couldn't have water, any food or a warm blanket until I was seen by the doctor. I had been in my sweaty tennis clothes for almost 3 hours, cold, hungry, dizzy and suffering from a debilitating headache. No one tried to start an IV, no one came in. Period. After 3 hours, I began feeling better - well enough to know that I would be much happier at home in dry clothes, having something to drink. When we got ready to leave, we were told that they had just called 2 more "providers" and we needed to wait another 30 minutes or so. We had NO faith that anyone would be coming anytime soon... and decided to leave anyway. On our way out, a male nurse informed us, "Fine, go. It's your choice." No apology. No well wishes. No nothing. If you want to die, come to NCH North Naples Hospital. If you want to live, go somewhere else. Anywhere else.
The staff that helped me during my recent appendix procedure were the best. Jill, Dr.Friedman, Mike were all intelligent, very respectable and charismatic people. 10/10 would stay again if I’m the area, hope the best to all that helped me when I was by myself.
They don’t even deserve one star. This is the worst hospital in the world. The Emergency front desk staff are racist. The security guards & ER front Desk lady sleeping between at 4:10 AM to 4:55 am on 9/24/22. In top of the front desk . She get very upset because i Interrupt her nap time . i have to wake them up because they forgot to put the patient in the system . We waited 1 hours in empty waiting room . The security guard is threatening people if you asked any questions. He throws Racist comments. Telling people go back to there country. They charge $400000 bill. But the treatment and behavior is very bad. They are unprofessional. They not allowing you to make videos. Because it going to show they threatening people. The ER front desk lady told us if we asked her again how long we need to wait she will remove us from the planets . I am filling the complaints with their Legel department let see if they care.
I have given birth at this hospital twice now and the nurses are absolutely amazing I would highly recommend anyone looking for a hospital to deliver at to do it here my son had to be in the nicu for over two weeks and I felt so comfortable leaving him there the nurses caring for him were all kind helpful and attentive. It's a clean hospital and the ob Dr's are great as well. Highly highly recommend!
Went to the ER of NCH hospital because I’ve been feeling short of breath, like air doesn’t get into my lungs appropriately, they were fast to take me to a room but service was very poor, I stayed there for almost 4 hours, they did a couple of exams on me and after almost 2 hours the doctor comes to tell me everything is okay which I’m glad but He told me that I would be dismissed even though I was feeling like I couldn’t breath, this is the time and I still can’t breathe normal. They didn’t treat my problem.
HORRIBLE absolutely FUBAR.the "team of drs" assigned to my care never spoke with me only spoke with the person accompanying me, totally misdiagnosed me, did not do the appropriate tests and the nurse in ER said they use that diagnosis a lot because they know insurance will cover it. Wrong treatment and horrible care, wouldn't feed me and when I finally got a plate it was all food to which I was allergic and had noted such on my forms at admission. If you value your life go to physicians regional. I also had money stolen, my BCBS card, my AAA card and their investigation involved logging the theft in a log book. They also messed with my phone deleting important info. Working with the patient advocates has been useless and I will have to take them to court to recover my not small amount of money.
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? It has been 20 days since my husband was finally released from NCH north and still no call from their administrator Lauren Benjamin and more importantly no comments or apologies from the hospital relating to our situation. Perhaps if they ignore our comments they "think we will all go away"? Wow, I thought it was only me but after spending over an hour going over these reviews I have to agree. I believe from past experience, The Hospitalists Doctors are all using a checklist; doesn't matter why you are there everyone gets the same meds and treatment. This last time, which was only a few weeks ago the Hospitalist prescribed some meds and had it called in to our pharmacy. We called our pharmacy and told them not to fill anything from Dr ? as we will not be picking them up or useing. Funny how our pharmacy knew exactly what we were talking about, guess it happens more often than we realized. We had a very pushy Cardiologist PA from the hospital, very rudely telling us that we had to do something. Everytime we have gone they try to keep us prisoner by saying, ' we have to have more blood, need another test". NCH how can you do this, we all trusted you with our lives! The only help I received ws admin at downtown Naples hospital even though I called both admins. To this day, 2 weeks later, we still have not heard from admin at North Naples. As a final note our nurses were great as were the emergency room doctors.
