Beyond amazing! Beyond best of the best!! Cardiac CICU nurses, Cardiac 2B nurses, Cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, APNs, Child life services, PT, OT, vokunteers, dietary, and even housekeeping were all so amazing. I owe them all my life! The care at this hospital and the knowledge the staff has is so extraordinary! I will never take any of my children any where else!
A place that really makes children feel special! Fortune to have a great staff of doctors and nurses taking care of a friends child. She fell in love with the doctors keyring with a light up pig that kept her laughing.
Great doctors and nurses. However, highly disappointed with the fact that they scheduled my sons surgery for a specific date, then decide to say they have no patient rooms available. This surgery did not have to be done right away, so it could have been rescheduled until they had the means to make my son comfortable and he could have a bit of privacy recovering from surgery. Which is what we were told would be the case until the surgery was done. Now we are forced to stay in the recovery unit overnight. And possibly another night. Which is basically one big room, with multiple other kids and families. Absolutely no privacy. Loud, bright. Definitely not even close to acceptable. This was a surgery THEY scheduled. All of this should have been figured out, and they should have had a room ready for him. Absolutely Ridiculous.
It was a while ago I was here for a conference. Even though I am not a child I live with a rare disease and the conference was for both children and adults and families with this rare disease. This hospital is the nicest hospital I have ever seen. I t was very clean and colorfu throughout. There is lots of meetings rooms throughout the hospital. All the doctors that I talked to even the ones from this hospital were very friendly. I did know some of the locals from other conferences I’ve attended
Over the weekend my son got very ill I can tell you that the hospitals where I live on the eastern shore should use Nemours as an example of how to treat people. From the folks in the ambulance to the cleaning staff everyone treated us with kindness compassion and empathy. I have personally never experienced this level of care. These people are definitely top notch I would recommend to anyone.
Highly recommend this hospital especially for cardiac patients. Dr. Pizarro and his staff did an amazing job for our daughter and we can't thank them enough for all that they did. Everyone we dealt with was great with her and made our stay there as pleasant as it could be during such an experience.
We have been in PICU with my son for a week. The staff is very thorough and attentive to his needs and also allow parents to have input or share their observations. All nurses have been incredibly caring. We have been impressed with the level and quality care he has received so far.
Our family took a trip here for our daughter. We weren’t sure what to expect, but we could not have been happier with the overall experience. Parking was close and convenient and free! The early time we went allowed us immediate care. The staff and team were incredibly friendly and explained everything in detail while also making our child a part of it all. The staff consistent went above and beyond to make our daughter feel comfortable and happy. My wife and I could not believe how wonderful the entire experience it was.
Maybe it’s a place that’s good for children but not for babies. If you have children under the age of 1 you probably shouldn’t come here and probably should go right to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. My last visit here with my daughter was so bad I honestly don’t even have the time or energy to type the whole experience out in this review box. Rather just explain everything face to face with my lawyer and go from there.
My child is fighting for his life every time he starts grunting or choking. I called the nurses in and they say he’s fine. Once he was choking he his lips started turning color and also said he was fine then another time his oxygen dropped down to 70 and they said he was fine. Mind you my child is only five weeks old. He shouldn’t be fighting in nurse is telling me he’s fine doctors telling me he’s fine.
