Dr. Iqbal is an excellent doctor. Took care of my needs for 24 years. However when M Health Fairview took over to even get an appointment to be seen here even as a current patient could not have an appointment moved up. Instead offered me an appointment in late January 2024 so had no choice but to transfer to Noran Neurological Clinic Lake Elmo and will be seen by them in late September. Note staff told me could not see a different doctor in same clinic if they had an appointment open so this clinic no longer recommended.
AVOID THIS CLINIC! Saw neurologist today. Been having noticeable symptoms of dementia. My referring physician told me the neurologist wrote 1/2 a paragraph that was very dismissive. Result was that I'm just depressed. I also have severe nerve damage in my groin from surgery. This jerk told me my underwear are too tight. I can't wear underwear. I wanted to punch him. What a waste of time. Makes me sick that I will have to pay for the time he spent w me. GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!!
Ask your doc to go someplace else. My symptoms were totally dismissed. The neurologist said I am fat and depressed. Both of which occurred AFTER symptoms began. I'll never return here. Getting this referral was so difficult. Getting to this appointment was very hard for me. I want to give up. Don't go alone. Bring a family member to speak on your behalf and take notes.
Administratively totally incompetent. Surgery has been scheduled for 2 months but needs an insurance approval. Have been calling weekly to check status. After 6 weeks they still hadn’t submitted the paperwork. Surgery is now a week away and have had to reschedule pre-op 3 times and now nobody is returning calls. Find a different clinic. Update. Surgery was rescheduled and second date is now 9 days away. They still have not submitted approval paperwork to insurance so I’m sure it will be canceled again. We’ve incurred cost of one pre op already and potentially a second. My husband calls multiple times a week and has escalated to management. Insurance says they just need to submit a form. In the meantime he lives in pain, his work has arranged for his leave twice, we canceled a vacation, and hours of his time every week and stress. Go t somewhere else and save yourself from this misery.
While I have liked my time with Dr. Jacques and found him generally to be an easygoing physician who listens to your concerns, explains things well, and seems to care, I have found the staff and service to be incredibly incompetent and will not be coming back. After an appointment with the Dr., he was supposed to call in some prescriptions which never happened. I have been calling for over a month and playing phone tag with the nurse Stacy who will not give me a direct line or another way to reach her. I even signed an ROHI so someone else could help me and they have not called them back. It's been nearly two months at this point and I still don't have the medication that should have been called in at my appointment. This clinic is not close to my house, so it's not a matter of popping in to get this done. It is unacceptable, poor patient care, and I wouldn't recommend this clinic for this reason.
My spinal surgery with Dr. Vasquez was a positive experience and life changing for me. The pain is completely gone. All the staff i interacted with were most professional, helpful and pleasant. I recommend this clinic as a great place to go for spinal problems.
Had a really bad experience here. The doc that saw me was very hurried and flustered I wondered if there was something wrong and he was dropping his bag and tools. After a quick exam he said, "ok, so you're here for a med check and just want more pills or what?" The bedside manner was not good. The saving grace, was that he was concerned about how my mess might affect a pregnancy if I chose to have one. No other doc had mentioned that before. Bottom line, everything about this facility was unprofessional and dirty and poorly ran.
Not satisfied at all with the care from Dr. Aggarwal. I have been sick since mid-March barely able to walk and dealing with dizziness, balance, coordination, neck and shoulder pain, constant headache which sometimes is light and sound sensitive hence migraines, brain fog, etc since my COVID-19 vaccination. He has found nothing wrong and keeps blaming it on anxiety because its not by the textbook, however many reports and studies on long-term covid are very consistent with my symptoms and prevalent in young people. I suspect I had a miid-case back in January 2020. He didn't want to do an MRI of neck and spine as the brain scan showed nothing but my mom and I were able to convince him. Well results came back at 4pm yesterday and I see notes on my chart showing some concerns as I am a scientist and have friends who are nurses and work in pt so they understand the information. He has yet to call me with results so I'm having my primary care get the images and interpret the results and working with the physical therapy clinic at dizzy and balance center to understand and work on rehabilitation. I'm only able to work 1-2 hours a day per my primary care doctor filling out paperwork yet Dr. Aggarwal put no restrictions in my paperwork. I'm pretty sure based on my understanding of MRI I definitely need to be careful with lifting and turning in certain directions. My primary care doctor also referred me to a post-COVID clinic but Dr. Aggarwal thinks this is anxiety and not related at all to COVID when we asked at my follow-up on Monday citing he's never heard of these issues and only seen them with stroke or blood clots which none of my testing indicates and textbooks say that severe anxiety can cause this and there is no indication of further issues. Well guess what COVID isn't textbook, this is a novel virus and like I said I'm a scientist and have read lots of studies done in the past year showing similar issues related to COVID not due to stroke or blood clots. I will not be going back and will be finding another neurologist because clearly you don't care for your patient and her concerns.
Had a consult which went ok... Has two MRI's ordered. Was not able to complete the second one and have been trying to contact the office for three days with no response. I have posted on their supposed message website and have left messages. They *never* answer the phone so your only option is to leave a message. Update: It took nearly two weeks for the original office to call me back and that after my primary doc called them and asked to call me... so the St Paul office still gets two stars. I was referred to the Maplewood office where my experience with Dr. Patel was excellent.... and BONUS: they answered the phone!
I have been working with this office as a patient for 14 years. It’s a group of highly dedicated professional neurologists. The staff has been good to work with. They will bend over backwards to help. I agree they should have a human answer each & every call and follow-up the same day or never more than two days maximum! Sincerely, Robert A Schimke Ps I am sorry Mr Pumpkin had financial difficulties with his bill. The problem isn’t the dedicated medical professionals but the rules of the game. We are the only modern western country to not have Universal Health care of some kind or another. Our system is 35th in the world for health outcomes as rated by WHO, the World Health Organization. Our US health care system costs twice per annum compared to the UK with half the good outcomes! So quit complaining whoever you are & quit voting for new administrations that are making it worse, sabotaging our HC system rather than working to make it better! Everyone has a birth right to healthcare. It is a “right” and not just a privilege!
