New Martinsville Public Library

Wonderful research staff. Debra and her team are always accommodating and help me out when I need research completed. With living out of state, it's nice to know the team there cares about providing excellent customer service. I'd highly recommend this library for their professionalism and organization. Honestly the best library I've ever been to. It's so unbelievably cozy and welcoming. The staff are nothing but helpful and kind. The sitting areas scattered throughout are all very comfortable and the ideal place to settle down with a book and coffee. Growing up with this as my closest library has me spoilt because I've yet to find another that's even half as welcoming. One of the few things I miss about New Martinsville. I'm not sure if the staff read these reviews but if y'all do, I wanna say thank you for the kindness I was shown when I was homeless and spent most of my days in there. Ya'll really helped me through a rough time.

This is a small library, one you can feel at home in. The librarians and staff will help you in any way you need. There are 8 computers so you normally will not have to wait for one. They have a large "new books" and magazine selections and an automated card catalog for easy look-up. There is a new, enlarged parking lot with shady trees and benches. I give this library 5 stars for excellent personnel, nice atmosphere, not to mention the cozy leather chairs!

This is a great small library that my 92 year old mom loves. They have ok selection of large print books and very friendly, helpful librarians. However, the building is not very ADA friendly. There is no self opening door for wheelchairs AND the one? handicap parking spot was not cleaned of snow and ice. Sorry situation when a 70 yo daughter is trying to take her 92 yo mom there. Maybe the community college across the street could take that on as a project? Thanks.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I love taking my children here. My son loves story time on Tuesday's.

As long as you was not near anyone you didn't have to wear a mask if you didn't want to place was large and very clean and plenty of help if needed
