New Martinsville Tae Kwon Do is a traditional Moo Duk Kwon Tae Kwon Do School under the direction of Grand Master Sok Ho Kang, 9th degree black belt. Grand Master Kang's Association stretches throughout West Virginia with practitioners also in Ohio, Texas, Tennessee, Florida, and other locations. Our local school was originally founded by Master Chuck Hannah, 7th degree black belt, in the Mid-1980s in Sistersville, WV.
In 1993, the Instructors moved the school to its current location in the New Martinsville Plaza. There, while taught by 6th degree black belts, Master Ken Fisher and Master Don Rush, and 5th degree black belt, Master Joyce Rush, the school flourished and has influenced many people in the local community for over two decades. You may recall seeing demonstrations that the school has put on at various locations, including Town and Country Days, the Tyler County 4-H camps, and multiple elementary schools among other areas.
Today, classes are taught by Master Justin Craft, 5th degree black belt, with the help of Assistant Instructors, Mr. Brian Riley and Mrs. Denise Riley, 3rd degree black belts.
