False information on hospital recording. The recording for the New Milford Hospital Breast Center says "Our Danbury and New Milford locations now offer Saturday and evening appointments for your scheduling convenience". Thats word for word. And not true! New Milford is only open two days a week and NO Saturdays for appointments. I'm wondering why they would say that? I'm reading so many poor reviews for this hospital. Too bad because it's a local hospital people depend on.
I’ve been here a few times for a few different reasons. This time was just follow up x-rays. I got here early before radiology opened. They were nice enough to check me in through emergency. However, my doctors office never sent the script. When the regular crew came in, they also checked. They gave me a direct fax number for the doctor. The entire staff was great including Samantha the x-ray tech. I know sometimes New Milford gets a bad rap, but if not for my doctors office today I would’ve had a great experience.
I do not recommend to bring infants to this location if you have an emergency. They will not provide infant necessities. I don't know if they actually had anything, but my infant had an emergency and I immediately left my house due to the emergency. When we arrived while we were in the waiting room for a long time and my infant was getting hungry for feeding, they didn't have formula for infant.
The Bridgeport Hospital **Milford Campus** offers a terrible hospital with terrible staff. If you find out your loved ones are being treated by a Dr.Benton take them out of here immediately, most hostile human being I ever interacted with. Mom went in for physical injuries began acting mentally unstable after they fed her a cocktail of meds and he told us she was just crazy before she got there and we never noticed it. Unbelievable. The entire staff was more worried about my mom being a liability then actually treating her. Aforementioned doctor actually came up and said to me "You guys are really stressing out my neurological staff" since we were trying to figure out what was going on with her and I was just floored, as if I wasn't in the process of temporarily losing my mom. The doctor made it very clear my family was nothing but a big inconvenience for him, always making sure we felt some sort of guilt for asking even the most basic of questions. Every single question he would meet with resistance and try to pin the blame on us even trying to use her unclean hair as a proof that she was psychotic before we admitted her my mom had a PHYSICAL disability with her arms and he knew that. My mom did better for awhile under ACTUAL doctors but eventually sucumbbed, never recovering from the meds she received at Bridgeport. This hospital murdered her, no ifs ands or buts. But honestly, what I'll really never forget is the family crisis this hospital caused and how unhelpful and hostile Dr Benton was when we were simply trying to figure out what had happened to our loved one. DO NOT take your loved ones here, this place did nothing but damage. I can't even comprehend how the doctors staffed here got hired, they're unprofessional, hostile and overall clueless.
Very satisfied with the service appointment called in on time. Dr David and stuff great work. Areas very clean and security guard polite educated.
I was at low point in my life and was taken here for care for suicidal ideation. I felt I was treated poorly by the staff. I was basically locked in a room for 4 days with almost no contact from any members of the staff. I could actually hear the doctors and nurses making derogatory comments about me. I felt horrible enough and I needed understanding, which was the exact opposite of what I received at this facility. It wasn't my ultimate decision to be there and I hope no one else in my situation is treated this way at the organization.
Went with my son on a Thurs night around 10.45 pm, got out around 2.45 am Fri . Left without knowing the results of blood work. Was told we would b giving info in the am. That did not happen. I called around 7.30 pm on Fri and was told my son had to call in regards to blood work results.
I went to their ER for a severe head injury. I was dizzy, nauseous, had trouble focusing and remembering things and my hands were not functioning as normal. I went in they gave me a blood test and then sent me home. No mri or catskan or anything, they said i was fine and coming down with a flu probably even with a black eye and giant bump on my forehead turns out i have a severe concussion, grade 3. Thank god i didn't have a brain bleed, these guys would have let me die on the side of the road instead of treat me. Ill never be going back and im considering making a serious complaint to the board of medicine about the dr that treated me. Head injuries are no joke and he did nothing to treat me.
Today, I had the absolute worst day from getting excruciating pains out of nowhere in my stomach. Being afraid and not knowing what it was, I decided to go to the emergency room and I cannot day enough wonderful things about the staff at New Milford Hospital. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly gentlemen at the front desk and then directed to the secretary who was kind and helpful in getting me registered. My nurse came out for me, Nancy who was an absolute sweetheart was taking care of me every step of the way. I was a mess, crying and doubled over in pain and her caring compassion really put me at ease. Everyone from the nurses to the doctor, the radiologist, to the woman that transferred me to the cat scan was so sweet and caring. Everything was explained to me, I was able to walk out of there feeling human again. Thankfully it was just kidney stones! When you’re in pain like that, care and compassion is such a plus to get that I haven’t always received in other hospitals. Thank you so much to all of the wonderful staff at New Milford Hospital for your caring. It turned an awful day to a brighter one and I’ll never forget you ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for all that you do!
Two emergency room visits in the last 4 years, and both times the care was prompt, professional, and personal. The ER is spotless, the lobby comfortable, and check in is quick and easy. I feel lucky to live in a town with such a great health care facility.
