We help parents and caregivers with the free installation/education of child safety seats. We also offer information regarding highway safety.
The New Milford Police Department Child Safety Seat Program offers the free installation, check and subsequent education of child safety seats to parents and caregivers. This service is offered on the first and third Fridays of each month but is subject to change based on department staffing and appointment requests. We also offer information on a variety of safety topics including highway safety and the teen graduated license law in Connecticut. Our program does not receive funding from the department or municipal budget. We operate based solely upon the generous donations of businesses and those who utilize this service.
