Had passed this place a few times while in New Orleans. Was glad I was able to finally stop, the place has a really cool setup and is decorated nice with lots of history involved. They have food, drinks, and snacks. For sure recommend you checking the place out if you are in the area... lots of seating and they even had live music during my visit.
A great little plaza to go in have a drink a little some food and listen this song good old blues music. You stand in line order your food get your number and get seated and in no time at all Server is bringing her your plates. Just a very comfortable place to hang out
The area is nice with good music. The restaurant In the area had poor tasting food. The "Shrimp Po Boy" was bread with shrimp. I got some veggies to put on it but there was nothing to add flavor. The bartender was slow . The park is 5 star. The restaurant is 1 star. So I rated the overall experience a 3.
No Outside food or drink, and a staff member to enforce it. Free music show. Wandered in here one evening to grab some beignets from Café Beignet and listen to the live local Jazz music. We sat at the small wrought metal table and chairs right in front of the band stand and listened to the band as we tried not to get powdered sugar everywhere. Very fun and pleasant way to spend a calm Sunday evening.
Great little spot in the middle of all the action but with a vibe all its own. Good food, even better Hurricanes that taste so good, you wont feel it until it hits you. Great live music and relaxed atmosphere.
Eating here was pleasant and enjoyable. There was live music for entertainment. The chocolate covered beignets were delicious! They came out fresh and hot! The red beans and rice and turkey club sandwich were very tasty! The local sparrows were begging for crumbs...lol
It is stunning! Absolutely authentic for the famous, legendary New Orleans French Quarter! Live music, crazy jazz, super tasty ... Just a dream!
Great music. Better for us when we spotted stairs to an upper level which was more relaxed. Not somewhere i would go to eat but a nice atmosphere Playground: None Restrooms: Ok Dog-friendliness: Yes. Several dogs. Picnic area: None. Notice at gate said no food or drink allowed that was not bought on the premises.
Catch some amazing jazz from the Steamboat Willie band here, with Larry Stoops on the vocals and trumpet. They have been playing here for the past many decades with Larry joined by a rotating array of musicians. Have Beignet or jambalaya, the southern breakfast or the other New orlean cuisine from the cafe beignet or a hurricane cocktail from the bar, while you listen to the music. Watchout for the little birds that fly in occasionally to listen to the music and munch on the sugar dust from the beignets on the floor.
It's a calmer spot on Bourbon street, which is nice, but the drinks are kind of expensive and not the best tasting. Also, when we got there, the music immediately stopped, which kind of sucked. The waitress was really nice though.
