On your Tourist bucket list - we had a great visit on nice warm n sunny day, great visibility.
Beautiful view! Of the Mississippi River and the park.
Beautiful park and nice view the bridge and Mississippi River. Love to walk around listening street singers, shopping….
This is a fantastic place to visit during the sunset. You can enjoy a great view of the river and the Jackson Square with the Saint Louis Church as background. If you are lucky then some musician could be performing some instrument and you can enjoy the music and the landscape. Many tourists from everywhere. Don't forget to take great pictures.
Great spot to watch the sunset, sunrise, and people watch in between. The park overlooks the Mississippi River on one side and Jackson Square on the other. You'll regularly find street performers in the area and the smell of Cafe du Monde in the air.
This beautiful park has nice views over the Mississippi river. It’s located just a short walk from Cafe Du Monde where you can grab a quick coffee and beignets. And across Jackson Square where you can take a stroll and see the local vendors, artist and entertainers doing live performances or just relax on a bench while enjoying the ambiance. Now BE AWARE of locals that will come to you and ask you if they can guess where you bought your shoes, my recommendation is that you just ignore them and say no thank you and keep walking, those are con artists trying to trick you to get your money.
First a word of caution: Beware of the con artists that ask you if they can guess where you bought your shoes, just ignore them/say no thanks. On to the review: the cannon is cool and has a bit on information on it, great view of Jackson square and of the Mississippi River, great for pictures and for sight seeing. I saw a couple performers out here playing music and such. Very relaxing to see. Make sure you wear sunscreen and bring shades/wear a hat because there’s not much shade in this area.
Beautiful must see spot; grab local beneigh at cafe de mond and enjoy the scenery here. Great live music and horses to take photos with
Known for its festive spirit of the Mardi Gras and vibrant nightlife. New Orleans has a lot more to offer. The rich history and beauty are almost mystical. In particular, Washington Artillery Park and Jackson Square. Even though not considered entirely safe for travelers, it remains a personal preference. During our time spent cycling, around the remarkable landmarks reduced possible risk, and make short stops to take in the beauty. A definite thumbs up in my book and most certainly a revisit.
Fun park with street vendors, artist, and performers. Lots of history. Good place to rest your feet. Across the street from Moonwalk, Cafe Du Monde, and Hop on Hop off Sightseeing City Tour. Down the street from French Market. In French Quarter.
