New Seasons Market Mercer Island
"Because there's nothing better than sharing good food with good people.Good people make you laugh when you least expect it. They share your passion for the perfect burger and carry your groceries for you. They leave you feeling a little lighter. And good food makes us happy, like a handpicked Hood strawberry on a hot June day or fresh-caught salmon straight off the boat. Good food is our reward for caring for this land, our communities, and the local farmers, ranchers, and fisherman who sustain us.Put the two together and what do you get? A recipe for a different kind of grocery store. A neighborhood market built on the idea that GOOD FOOD BRINGS US TOGETHER."

I love exploring high end grocery stores - never know what you are going to find! found this yummy keto whip cream - yes please! :
If you are price conscious like me, this store is not a right place to shop. Their random 50% off on Friday to Sunday was a good deal but I always have to go to other grocery since I can’t always find the things I’m looking for. They seem to have good selection of grocery items but sale items tends to be out of stock often, was pretty disappointed. Their deli Looks nice, kind of like WholeFoods but smaller. I wish they have bigger hot food bar. They have This thing called Wok, it's like a Mongolian BBQ. You order your protein, veggies and carb I think The noodle choices were rice noodle, sobs noodle and ramen noodle? And rice, white or brown It's great when I am craving veggies but I would prefer the sauce on the side since they put too much for my liking. Their brown rice was dry, did not taste good. . Their produce is small but mostly organic. I do enjoy their random small farm offering of strawberries, blueberries and peaches. Those were very sweet and had great aroma. Though I am impressed with their fresh baked bread, it is delicious. When I randomly went shopping around 9am, I couldn't resist the smell of bread! I love their French Baguette!!! It was still warm!!!! 5 Stars for their bread! They do not have self check out like QFC. They have express check out that is helpful when I am only buying 1-2 items
I liked it better when met market owned and operated it. It's just another high end grocery store, nice deli, decent produce, etc., but there is a certain je ne said quoi missing. Grabbed a drip coffee to go the other day and it was quite sour, dumped most of it out, couldn't drink it.
Food and coffee options are really good quality and organic. Have never grocery shopped here though.
Love this store, & glad we can finally have one close to hone! It's a little more expensive, although they do have some items at a great price & others items that are hard to find elsewhere. Love the variety in their hot & cold food bars. And their organic veggies are wonderful wonderful fresh organic turmeric
The store has a new policy. When you go for lunch, or dinner, you are unable to obtain plasticware. Their solution to The plastic garbage issue, is not to have biodegradable plastics; such as cellulose.… Their solution? To put the plastic ware where the checkout stand is. So… The same person that is handling money, is handling your plasticware. When I brought this to their attention, I heard “oh… That’s a good point! “I had a long talk, with the “Manager “, I told him how unsanitary this was. I expressed concern about measles and chickenpox being on the rise, and that the same people who handle the money are now handling the plasticware. I suggested they find a new solution. 48 hours later I walked in to buy my lunch, and there is no new solution. Apparently they don’t care. I do! I go there almost daily for lunch during my work week. If the utensils are handled with such lack of concern for bacteria and viral germ spreading, how is the bar food being treated any differently? And… I wonder how the health department feels about this. Here’s the deal New Seasons; how about investing in biodegradable plastic? Because you are not helping the environment, or your patrons at all. Especially with the recent rise of measles and chickenpox. The first day I encountered this I told the cashier I didn’t want her handling my fork, she took a tissue out of a box that was on her counter and held the tissue up for me; meaning...” I will use a tissue to pick up your fork.” I said “Anybody could have coughed or sneezed on that tissue, it’s been sitting right here” and I literally pointed to the box. Her response was… “Oh “, then she just stood there not knowing what to do. I am really sorry New Seasons… But I don’t want that kind of bacteria in my life. Money is notoriously dirty. Your cashiers don’t wear gloves. In fact the woman who held out the tissue to me had been wiping her nose with her finger prior to grabbing the tissue… This was my experience. This is NOT a reasonable solution to the plastic waste problem. You did this for you, not for the environment; and certainly not for us your customer base Please figure this out; because I cannot allow myself to be exposed to harm simply because it is convenient for you.
My first time there. The produce looked good. We ordered special steaks cut they were real good. Everything was expensive to me. Seem like very good quality. The check out was real slow and took 3 people to figure out how to ring up the meat. My son shops there a lot and he likes it.
Fantastic selection of cheeses and beers. High quality ingredients but you are paying for that. Helpful staff, clean environment, well laid out and a convenient alternative to Kroger on the island. I have yet to try the meats. They look great but are quite expensive compared to other markets.
What shopping should be like. They succeed in their goals for the “friendliest grocery in town.” You’ll find beautifully fresh produce, a large selection of meats, and so many vegetarian options. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and competent. They will let you try anything they sell. They have a small area where you can purchase coffee, wine, and beer and sit for a while. Their prices reflect the quality of their service.
True to their words, they are the friendliest store in town. I come here almost every weekend! They offer amazing organic and local options. Not to mention their little café is always equipped with the perfect macron and green tea.
