My surgery on my ACL and meniscus here was done efficiently and with the utmost care. From paperwork and prep time to the time I left the surgery center was approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes. The doctors, nurses and all staff were very professional and knowledgeable. I knew I could trust them and I am so glad I had my surgery done here.
My husband was told to arrive at 9:00 A.M. for a 2-hour procedure that should take 4 hours total. At 1:15, when I was expecting to leave, I was informed the procedure hadn't even started yet! When I complained about the delay, the surgery center blamed it on the doctor. I told them I was going home and to call me when he was ready for pick-up. At 4:00, SEVEN HOURS after I took husband in, I received a call informing me that he was heading into surgery and it was requested I deliver his sling. I declined to drive back down until he was ready for pickup. At 4:42 the doctor called and said surgery was complete and husband should be ready for pick-up in about 90 minutes. The doc indicated he had nothing to do with scheduling and said would speak to the center supervisor about the lengthy delay, which he agreed was poor planning. Three minutes later, the surgery center called to tell me husband was coming out of surgery and again requested I head on down to deliver the sling. I told them I just spoke to the doc and he said husband wasn't ready for pick up yet and wouldn't be for quite some time. Considering I had already waited there for over 4 hours needlessly, I had no intention of driving back and waiting for another 90 minutes. I complained about the unreasonable delay and got the standard BS about how I shouldn't want them to rush a surgical procedure. I don't want you to rush a surgical procedure; I want you to not tell us come in at 9:00 for an appointment that I found wasn't scheduled until 11:00, and then didn't actually start until 4:00. This is not the hospital and you are not overrun with COVID patients or gunshot woulds that take precedence. This is a surgery center with allotted times for each procedure and, although procedures sometimes run longer than expected, they also are often shorter than expected, such as my husband's procedure, which was scheduled for 2 hours but only took 45 minutes. At 5:45, I received the call that husband was finally ready for pickup. He was released about 6:15 - five hours later than expected and NINE HOURS after being brought in for a 45 minute surgery . THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!
I had a quick procedure at this location yesterday and the level of care was fantastic. Upon leaving, there were some complications with my departure that was likely something that they hadn't had to deal with on the norm. The ladies at the center were AMAZING! Caring, concerned and very helpful. Thank you to each of them for taking care of me and helping with the situation we were presented. I am very grateful for you
At the time of my simple finger procedure I awoke in recovery to a nurse running over and snatching a mouthpiece from my mouth. She informed me that I had stopped breathing which was not correct. As you can imagine this upset me. She asked me do you want me to get your son? She went to get him and he came back to recovery. No one ever advised my son that they had issues with my breathing. I will never go there again. It's a scary thing being put to sleep and you don't need it compounded by people who are incapable of doing their job. Come to find out the anesthesiologist advised that statement wasn't correct that the nurse told me. I for one don't want to deal with such incompetence from a medical person that is suppose to have empathy for people going through medical procedures. I was left to lay in bed from 10am till 2pm for my finger surgery. Never again. I don't trust those people with my safety.
I was scheduled for a back procedure 3 weeks ago .I spoke with them several times. Tomorrow was supposed to be my procedure for severe back pain, I have spinal Stenosis and the pain makes me want to die. I was looking forward to pain relief when I got called late this after noon that they have to have copay of one hundred thirty dollars or Cancel my morning surgery. I have the best insurance coverage and have met my family Co pay anyway I have never been asked fir a copay before hand I have been billed after my insurance was billed. These people are money hungry uncaring jerks and I hope no one else is suffering like I am tonight My disability check didn't come this month and I have nothing. I love my Dr and hope he can work with a different facility
I has a great experience with the team at New Tampa Surgery. They really took care of me like I was family. My amazing Dr.Domby along with Dr,Martinez,Nurse Kelly,Melinda,Nelly and Seth made sure I was care for. Nelly called me the next morning to check on me. Thank you so much.
The facility was clean and the staff was awesome! Check in was easy and quick. Everything was explained in detail prior to surgery. Staff was very attentive and informative. I would highly recommend this facility to everyone based on my experience!
Friendly, Professional, Clean The staff were professionally friendly, and made the whole experience comforting. The technicians on site were very informative and personable. The time estimates matched within a reasonable range when taking into account the complexity of operations. Good experience.
They have no beds for the patients to rest in while waiting for a procedure. Only chairs that are not very comfortable. Blood on the floor of the patient waiting area. I have never been to an out patient surgery center that had such a poor setup for the patient waiting area. I never want to go back to this place.
Avoid this place. Billing is all messed up. I am doing their job basically. No one has any idea what goes on with billing and can’t help with anything. They have left a bill go for 2 months with no action and just basically said screw it. They owe me money back and don’t care to get things resolved. Horrible. If I can give negative stars I would
