We had a wonderful weekend here. We loved being able to ride our bikes all over the park, fishing and kayaking. Sites are clean and well kept for RVs. The playground is very nice. My daughter loved the mini zip line.
Loved the little things, free poop bags, delivered wood to our site, free showers. Reasonable price for electric hook ups. I liked the different trails, great for running and hiking. The weekend entertainment is nice. We got fried dough and french fries from the firefighters. The creek and river are tidal so check the posted times so you don't get stuck in the mud. It is buggy, don't forget your spray
Park is beautiful and full of wildlife. Everything from birds, rabbits, snapping turtles and black bear. Amazing, well groomed trails to hike, bike or horseback on. Campsites are ample size and relatively private. Very well maintained, and restrooms/shower houses are immaculate. Very friendly staff. Love this place. Playground: Very well maintained and interactive. Restrooms: Always kept very clean Picnic area: Several pavilions/tents or just tables and grills available
This is a quaint little state park south of Albany. Easy check in. There are no water or sewer connections but there is stable power. We filled up our water tank at the dump station upon entering the park. There is a separate clean water source at the dump station area. There are also several water points along the narrow roadways inside the park. We got a pull through which was shady and spacious for our tow vehicle and trailer. The bathhouse was very clean with hot water in the showers. The shower stalls are spacious with locks on the doors. Shopping and restaurants are close by. I will definitely stay here again. Our Visible phone hotspot service Verizon had two bars and we were able to use our streaming services. Our other phone use AT&T towers and data was very slow. one bar. The park sells firewood for $6.00 a bundle which is a good deal compared to other places we've been in NY.
I absolutely love this place. The area is clean and peaceful. Even though there are camper vehicles, everyone respects the solitude of others. The sites are always clean and ready for the next camper. The staff is friendly and professional. This was my third trip and I wasn't disappointed. The only downside to Schodack is, it's difficult to get ten straight days there.
Narrow part of the Hudson with nice views of west Bank and passing boats Peaceful Has clean restrooms Play area for children
Great place to go kayaking from or boating but don’t go at low tide! The campground is very nice, and I would like to personally thank the state employee who put up this hammock hook. I have not seen this at any other campground, and it’s fantastic! Thank you!
Dog friendly. Huge spaces for each site! Fire pit & picnic table were in great condition. Restrooms were clean & easy to find. Recommended, would stay again. Great price! Restrooms: Clean & easy to find Dog-friendliness: Everyone had control of their dogs, stayed in their site. Happy it was dog friendly! Clean
Very nice pavilions. Rented one for a family picnic and had a lot of fun. There is a small playground for kids, plenty of easy walking trails, horseshoe pits, volleyball ball court, boat launch, and clean restrooms. They also have trailer camping sites, but I personally didn't use any. Playground: Small, but it really kept the kids busy. Restrooms: Multiple stalls are maintained well and clean. Picnic area: Multiple picnic areas. You would need to reserve a pavilion to guarantee a spot.
We stopped here for a few hours with our young kids. The playground was pretty cool. There was enough to do for a variety of ages. Restrooms were readily available and clean. There was a volleyball court as well. We didn't get very far but there are a lot of flat, short hiking trails that would be good for little kids. Nice views of the Hudson River from the boat launch area.
