I had the privilege of providing photo booth services for a wedding at the Newark Museum of Art, and I must say, it was an experience like no other. The museum's backdrop, with its intricate architectural details and art installations, provided a unique and enriching environment that elevated the overall photo booth experience for the guests. Logistically, the museum's staff were a delight to collaborate with. From setting up the booth in the ideal location to ensuring that all electrical and space needs were met, their professionalism was top-notch. They ensured a smooth and hassle-free operation, allowing me to focus solely on capturing beautiful moments for the wedding guests. The ambiance and lighting inside the museum further enhanced the quality of the photos, resulting in some of the best shots I've captured in my career. Plus, the guests were enthralled with the idea of taking photos amidst such iconic art pieces, making my job all the more enjoyable. To any event service provider, the Newark Museum of Art stands out not just for its aesthetic appeal but also for its conducive environment for seamless event operations. I eagerly look forward to the opportunity to work in such a grand venue again
Attended a wedding there and the atmosphere is amazing. There are exhibits for those appreciate arts. I was very impressed for the foods and the overall environment. Parking is part of the accommodation which is a big plus in the Newark area.
Really nice museum with different exhibits for children of all ages. Our toddler enjoyed the interactive underwater exhibit in animal kingdom the best. We'll definitely be back even if it's just for this one! There was a wedding being held the day we went and the setup looked amazing as soon as we entered. There's also a PJs coffee shop as soon as you enter for quick snacks or coffee.
We ended up here because our flight out of Newark was cancelled, and it was within walking distance from our hotel. We only managed to check out the kids' section of the museum, but it alone is worth all 5 stars. There are several interactive exhibits that use art to educate and entertain. A perfect combination! We also picked up food and ate in the garden behind the museum, which was lovely with two toddlers. A perfect way to spend an afternoon!
Listen to me when I tell you...if I could give this place "10 stars" I would!!! Between the cleanliness of the building to the beautiful art pieces on display by the extremely talented artists, for me this was sensory overload in a good way. Furthermore, you don't realize how massive the museum is until you start exploring. I'm not gonna lie, one of the exhibits made cry for about 7 minutes straight which exhibit you ask??...that's for another time & place. If you're ever in Newark, NJ and you don't stop by this place...something might seriously be wrong with you. An absolute must see!!!
Had a great time with my kids here about a month ago! Was definitely a great place for my artistic daughter that is obsessed with art work and sculptures!! Maybe some day she can bring some of her art work and sculptures here!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$11–15
The only con is that there is current construction and an exhibit rotation happening, but what was accessible was fantastic to see. There were guides throughout who were extremely helpful too, so worries if it’s your first time as was mine. The gift shop was very nicely curated and enabled further museum experience. It was a great place to shop for a gift for a friend or for yourself. I’m excited to visit when the construction is completed!
Beautiful work to see, I liked the nature exhibit and how interactive it was. Lots of different cultural pieces.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$11–15

This museum is good for family bonding. They have a lot of activities for the children and parents. The planetarium is little and the holographic is good enough. They have engaging activities and the staff showing the constellations at the planetarium is interacting with the visitor. He made me remember the constellations I almost forgot. The museum is not that big so 2-3 hours of museum activity is enough. I love their Asian collection located on the 2nd floor. The ticket is not pricey. I'm living in New Jersey so I got a free ticket.
