The staff are very friendly, especially funeral director Jared and Eric. Unfortunately, my mother that passed did not have any life insurance, so Medicaid was our only means to help bury my mother. Jared and Eric went over and beyond to help us and make sure we got the best of what was covered. I would highly recommend this funeral home to any one.
I was very pleased with Newcomer. From my husband and my pre-planning, ordering our headstone, to his visitation, and funeral. The home was clean, and employees and directors very professional and helpful. I would wholeheartedly recommend their facilities and staff.
They did an outstanding job with my Dad's arrangements. My Mom was very satisfied with the entire process and the entire staff. Newcomber's has handled the arrangements for many of our family throughout the years and even though the name has changed a few time the quality service has not. I would like to personally thank everyone at Newcomber's for there help and compassion. .
The staff at Newcomers went above and beyond for my Grandpa's service on 5/15/22. When I showed up earlier than planned to set up all the memorial items they were beyond helpful, from helping me carry in all the things, offering to help set up, giving multiple options for displaying Grandpa's dress blues, coming and checking in with myself and my mother while the service took place. Then when all the questions started coming in they had all the answers. Thank to Eric and the staff for making sure Grandpa's memorial went as smooth as possible. Forever will be grateful for the beautiful service and guest care.
We were completely blindsided in the early hours of the morning when we got the call that everyone dreads. Half asleep and in shock, we didn't know the answer to the question of who to call for arrangements. A friend recommended Newcomer and we are so grateful. Abby was our first point of contact and she was phenomenal. She made sure we were kept informed and didn't miss even the smallest detail. We just had a very small, very simple service and there was never any pressure to "upgrade" any of our.plans. Eric treated us like we were spending a fortune with them and took great care of mom and of us, making sure we didn't have to worry about anything, before, during or after the service. Nita was there for me when I came to pick mom up and she was so kind and caring, both on the phone and in person. Thank you all so much.
It's really hard to review a Funeral Home. They did a great job on presentation. The photograph collage was well thought and edited well. Cleanliness was 5 star. They were respectful and professional. Everything you would expect from a funeral parlor.
Held up cremation of my mother due to ONE family member causing a scene... I had to get in touch with the Indiana director of funerals to get them to proceed with the cremation... They lied to the rest of my family about why they could not proceed because when I called the Indiana funeral director he assured me the way they were handling it was not proper protocol.. it was the worst experience ever after losing my beloved mother... I wouldn't let them bury my dog
The staff was very nice and helpful that was there the day of the service. The reason I gave a 3 star though is because my nanny did not look like herself at all which really made it harder to process. The only reason I knew it was her is just from certain traits and marks that she had. You all could have went by pictures that was provided. Also I did not think the music that was playing on the slide show was the best that you all could have chosen.
Very professional caring people from the beginning to the end made my mother look beautiful did everything they could to make this as easy as possible on my family and me would highly recommend newcomer to anyone needing this type of service for their loved one I thank everyone who works there
The staff and facility were great but we weren't pleased with the way our mother looked like a mannequin. Her hands looked like they pressed them in a molde. I think they could have used a picture and gotten her face alot better also. Broke my heart to see her that way.
