Founded in 1963, Newport FC is focused on developing soccer skills for both boys and girls ages 5 to 18 in the Eastside area of Metro Seattle.
ACADEMY PROGRAM:
Newport F.C offers the Academy Program for ages U11-U18. This program is designed for players that play other sports that would like to still keep their soccer skills sharp. Players will be exposed to our professional coaching staff that fit the needs for our rec and select players as well as players looking to tryout for one of our programs in the upcoming season. Players will be put in grids depending on the age group and skill set of the player. The coach to player ratio will be 9 players to ever coach to give the players in the program more individual attention rather than programs designed for just big numbers. Players will be placed in a circuit style training where players will rotate through different grids that focus on things like shooting , passing and receiving , small sided games and working on the basic fundamental foot skills to be successful playing the wonderful game of soccer.
JUNIOR PROGRAM:
Newport F.C. offers the Juniors Program for ages U8-U10. This program is designed for our youth players as an introduction to some of the basic skills needed to play the beautiful game of soccer. Players will learn the fundamental skills such as passing receiving , shooting and foot skills needed to play the game. The player to coach ratio will be 5-6 players per coach to give each player more personal attention with there development. Players will play small sided game activities to help players understand how to play the game and to incorporate the skills learned during each session.
