Went here last Sunday for brunch and rooftop party, I had never been before, so I was looking forward to the afternoon out with my boyfriend. I had the Coconut Challa french toast, it was good! The service was good, and the rooftop party was fun! The DJ can't remember his name but he was rocking!
Went on a Saturday night and it was pretty cool! Although I don't understand why most of the crowd was on the top floor, there was decent music on the other floors as well. Hookah was about $20 and the drinks were moderately priced $12 for Long Island Iced Tea. No cover. Friendly staff
I have gone to Newtown twice now, the first time was a good time with good food. However, this last time was so bad that the manager actually gave us back our money! Initially the hostess told us that not only was the upstairs lounge area closed but that HH was only at the bar on the main floor. While at that main floor bar, we were told that they were “out of “ rail bourbon and only the bar had upstairs had Amaretto which was also rail. After a few minutes of waiting for the employees to play rock/paper/scissors to see who was going get the bottle of Amaretto, we inquired about food. The bar tender told us that only the upstairs bar served HH food to which we again inquired about upstairs because we had already been told it was closed. Long story short, the upstairs was NOT closed; the upstairs bar did NOT serve food. We wasted almost an hour just trying to figure out where the hell to go! The manager, Sinbad, was not helpful at all and had to be text, not called, in order to get in touch with him. In the end, Newtown does not have rail bourbon, they do not serve food upstairs, and none of the wait staff knew what was going on.
