I liked it a lot! But a huge drawback: No bathrooms unless you're renting a space.... I realize it's got to be tough to maintain facilities but I also feel like that's a huge misstep. Lots of shade.... Great playground.... Ballfield and basketball court. Tons of green space.
Nichols Park was literally in my back yard. It's a nice place to enjoy a walk on the trails, play softball, basketball or even a game of tennis ..let the kiddos play on the playground toys. As long as it's BEFORE dark. Wonderful Place AFTER dark is scary as can be.
This park has a very nice walking path and baseball fields. A recently updated playground and some basketball hoops make this park a great neighborhood place to be.
We had a video shoot and picnic, we had a great time. We were having so much fun I didn't take any pictures Playground: Real nice for the kids of all ages Restrooms: Open to the ppl in the park Dog-friendliness: I seen ppl with their dogs on a leash of course Picnic area: Nice Pavillion area to BBQ, have Birthday parties or whatever
Nice park for the kids to run away from their parents/guardians when it's time to leave. Lol. Great playground and pavilion. Lots of room to run around and a track to walk, run, bike, etc. Also has tennis, basketball, and baseball diamonds. Pet friendly and restrooms are available when unlocked.
It could be better if the adults who hang out there actedIke adults instead of drug addict a-holes...like....this town I swear sometimes some people need to be shaken till their brains hurt.. Yes the adults are t he reasons these kids parks have all these stupid restrictions and they can't have normal fun bc 45 year old homeless people wanna funk up every thing normal in this town .. Like ..public restrooms.. Backpacks in...ANY store. Parks. Parking lots For crying out loud rheir is time stipulations on how long u can eat at burger King now..bc of it. It's out of control. And yes..this park suffers for those reasons Sad but truth Playground: Decent playground for sure... It could use some more attention for spider removal and pressure washed more often ..bc come on ...it's little kids...they shouldn't have to deal with that kinda stuff when they play..I'm just sayin... Oh and...all u adults that like to throw ur trash around....drug trash or cig butts... Shame on u...for real...these are our children.. Grow up and stop being the reasons the bathrooms have padlocks for crying out loud.. First off...it's a park......use ur damn brains..throw ur trash under the bridge ..not the playgrounds... I'm only saying Restrooms: Never open.. Which I find to be utterly ridiculous.. A park...with locked publicrestrooms...ubsurd . This everyone can't open theor restrooms no sense around this city has gotten a bit carried away...almost every single public restroom is closed..it's the most stupid thing I've ever seen !!!!!!! Dog-friendliness: Yes it is dog friendly ...leashed... But everyone should have e theor dog leashed any way...for rhe safety of everyone around u including ur dogs...I'm a big supporter of ...be responsible and leash ur animal... Control ur pets people...it's the right thing to do Picnic area: Its a covered area with about 12 picnic tables...maybe...that isn't anything flashy...not even really sure if they have a trash can anymore for people to use...that's along with the locked bathrooms...and the non working water fountians..or water spouts ..... The trash cans have been removed as well ..
Best park in Springfield! Huge new play area with a specialized area for all ages. HIGHLY recommend
The park was great! The playground was clean and in good repair. The only down side is that the restroom doors are locked due to previous vandalism- shame on the culprit!. When taking toddlers here, please make sure to make other preparations for toilet time!
Super cute park! My kids had a blast!
Baseball field, plenty of space for kids to run around, covered picnic area Playground: Nice, lots of activities Restrooms: Closed, inaccessible
