The Staff here was horrible… I won’t draw this out here but we made it through the weekend. Book online and keep that email handy… The screened in shelter was a nice addition to a camp site. I didn’t shower but they are available . I’d have been impressed if it were a bit cleaner along the bank but rest assured, the next guy will love it. I cleaned it for you.
I wish this park was open right now. It’s a good place to launch a boat on Belton Lake. Amenities are somewhat limited but it’s hardly ever crowded there. The park is clean and well-kept. It is open only part of the year usually and it closes at dark for day use. Check out schedules and open times before you go. It is definitely worth checking out if you need a launch when the lake is back up. You pay a yearly entrance fee, but it’s reasonable and gives you access to other parks on the lake. Public restrooms are available by the boat ramp. They are basic. I have never seen a dog at this park so I wouldn’t call it dog-friendly. Usually folks leave their dogs at home when boating.
This park is super relaxing and very clean. It goes on my favorite parks list, and we will be coming back again
Staff was friendly & very personable. Decent views in a mostly quiet area. Trails in several places to reach the water. Boat ramp area, many fishing spots, restrooms easy to get to, several dumpsters on site, dump station for campers, pretty secure due to needing a gate code to enter the area. Restrooms: Very clean & well maintained. Dog-friendliness: Saw many dogs large and small roaming with their owners. Leash is required. Picnic area: Each campsite has a picnic table, the camper sites have covered tables. Sturdy & decent size.
Used to be free. Core of engineers is all about profit. Not people having a good place to enjoy their selves. Go back into history and look what people were told about belton lake when it was going to become a lake. Boy have things changed since then.
I will be back. Very small park. Hosts are very friendly. You do hear fort good at night. But that's the cost for our freedom. Restrooms: Very very clean. The camp hosts really take care of this park. And it shows.
Amazing time there with friends and family do recommend going there for a small even 1 night it was amazing do recommend!
Beautiful view of the lake! The camp sites/RV flats are spaced so that you have a decent amount of space. They have screened in cabin looking buildings that make a great place to chill or eat without too many bugs eating you. Quite quiet place too ... Oh and at night it's super dark as there are no lights along the roadway through the camp sites! Bring Flashlights!!! Otherwise it's a sweet little place to post up and enjoy the lake!!!!
Camp ground plus day-use boat ramp access. Good place to put a boat in. Parking lot is well up above the normal lake level so it stays open when others are closed because of flooding.
The facility is nice with great water access. The only drawback is a lack of facility management personnel on site, which leads to loud campers. There was a group next to us that was very loud including young kids until 4AM.
