My barber for the last 20 years is there he likes it there so I like it there. Big screen chips sodas it good.
Been going there for over 45 years. Nick for the first 20 years. And Peter has been doing my hair for the last 25 years. I will never go anywhere else!
I have been going here for 20 plus years. Roman is great. He does my hair like I like it - old style. My son also goes here and Roman does his like he likes - new style. The price is good, your appointment starts on time, it’s a great place.
I used to go to one of those man salons... you know, the ones where they charge you >$45 for a satisfactory haircut. Nick's Barber Shop is a better cut for less. I was bummed when the girl who cut my hair at the man-spa no longer worked there, but I guess it was a blessing in disguise. Now Roman does a great job cutting my hair, and without the BS. Great atmosphere! It's a real barbershop. Great barbers! I have no clue what "Mark" is talking about in his review. I was treated kindly and felt welcomed for being a 1st timer. I actually could use a cut now... I'll be calling Nick's. Posted this 3 years ago, and I still drive from Bayview for my hair cuts.
Nick, the owner, does great work. In all honesty, was a little vague with what I wanted, and he was able to give me exactly what I wanted. Additionally, he was polite and courteous. Will make this a regular occurrence
There's nothing flashy or gimmicky about Nick's. It's simple, clean, and manly. Always great conversation, always friendly, good prices, and professional service. I have been seeing Roman for awhile now and his obsessive attention to detail is something you just don't find anywhere else. You will leave feeling like a new man and without a hair out of place.
Roman gives the best, most consistent haircut I have ever had. Call in 24-48 hrs ahead as he is usually booked - but is happy to squeeze ya in on a same day if there’s space.
I have been getting my hair cut every month or so by Roman at Nick's. He does a very good job, taking time to make sure everything is just how I want it. The atmosphere is exactly how a barber shop should be. I'm not sure how anyone has a bad experience, perhaps it is because the bad reviewers are the unfriendly ones. They always ask me if I like how it looks, and touch anything up that I ask them to do. That's how you get the haircut you want... not by just pointing at a picture and sitting there silently until they finish. Give them a try, I will continue going back.
My experience at Nick's Barber Shop was not good. After having trouble finding a place to park I was told that they are not taking any walk-ins but one of the barbers said "he could fit me." It seemed like a choir for them to take my business. When I was in the chair I said I wanted just a trim in a classic Ceaser kind of way. How could you get that wrong? It turned out way to top heavy and the back doesn't look like it was cut at all. I will not be going back. Pete, who was the barber cutting the gentleman's hair next to me seemed more conversational and might do a better job. But, the overall environment of the barber shop was not friendly and they seemed short with me. Plus it was overpriced. I don't consider $18 + tip cheap for a lousy haircut.
I’ve been going here for years. If you’re looking to get away from the generic box store barbers check it out. Great service and conversations. I use Roman but Pete is awesome too.
