Nina Freudenheim has owned and operated the Nina Freudenheim Gallery in Buffalo, NY since the gallery opened in 1975. For the last 40 years, she has continued to have a strong commitment to supporting and exhibiting the finest in contemporary art, craft, and photography throughout the United States and abroad. The exhibition program includes one person exhibitions by gallery artists as well as group exhibitions based on the themes and ideas of well-established and emerging artists.
Along with managing the gallery, Nina Freudenheim also offers fine art consulting services. Over the years, she has served as advisor, consultant, and appraisal expert to many corporations and institutions in Buffalo and the surrounding areas. Her expertise in fine arts collections has also led her to serve as consultant and project director on numerous public art projects.
In the 1980’s the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority embarked in the construction of a Light Rail Rapid Transit System for which Nina Freudenheim directed the inclusion and integration of artwork.
Nina Freudenheim is a member of the Appraisers Association of America and is the recipient of numerous awards. Works from the gallery have been placed with such institutions as the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, the Smithsonian Museum’s National Portrait Gallery, among others.
