The Deborah Cannon Partridge Wolfe College of Education at New Jersey City University has a proud history of preparing distinguished educators for the state of New Jersey, the country, and many foreign countries. It continues that tradition while expanding its scope as a leading public university, with a particular focus on the needs of students in urban settings. All programs in the Deborah Cannon Partridge Wolfe College of Education emphasize developing and applying critical thinking and analytical skills for problem solving and effective teaching in urban and other school settings, increasing awareness of New Jersey's educational system and its role in the larger society, and broadening the understanding and appreciation of teaching as a profession.
