Used station to go to Patriots game. Event train is issue with tickets. So experience not that good. Station is clean and okay. Metro works great Easy to get Lyft or Uber outside
Beautiful exterior architecture. Station is clean with food and a CVS. The only con, not a lot of places to sit while you wait.
Just a quick bus trip from South station to New London New Hampshire. Terminal was clean and safe, no problems getting out or coming back. Easy access to cabs or Uber/lift. Plenty of security in the area.
Central hub of downtown with lots of options. Relatively clean. Has food options.
Best bathrooms in Boston? There is convenient free clothing service! You can use clothing instead of toilet paper because there is no toilet paper but random clothes on the floor. There is amazing ventilation window to share experience with neighbors‍ Best friends stick with you through the worst times and best times
Had a very good first experience. No issues whatsoever. The staff were very nice and helpful as well. Boarding was no Issue and I left on time to Worcester. Definitely will take the train again
Very big station with a huge hall. There are big restrooms many benches, elevators and some fast food restaurants. All the commuter rail trains here go to the south directions. There are 2 more levels downstairs with silver line these are the buses and on the bottom level, red line subway trains. South station building is an old one and very beautiful from outside.
We take Amtrak from this station. Several good places for sandwiches, ice-cream and drinks. Only fault: the concrete sidewalks to access the trains. These are in bad shape: pitted and rough. Hard to roll a suitcase here. I'm surprised they have not replaced these.
Worst experience of my entire life , stuck on a train for 2 hours. No A/C with 90° weather it was hot and muggy inside. Which to add no way to leave safely. At some point people were leaving and hopping fences to leave. Never using this train service again
Mezzanine has been closed for 3 years now, most of the old establishments are gone and homeless everywhere asking for money, and in the morning the entire front of the station is completely over run with these filthy vagrence. Bathrooms are extremely disgusting and used by druggies, some stalls dont even have doors, locks, and some have large holes in the walls so you see into the other stalls. Atleast there are a lot of trains to different locations within the state from here.
