NEGLIGENCE AT IT'S FINEST! I had taken my 1 year old son to the pediatric ER for 104.0 fever. I told the triage nurse that he has also has refused to eat or drink anything all day. I asked if he could be put on IV and she said that would be the doctor's decision. We were directed to a room immediately that was right in front of the nurses station. My son and I were left in the room for over 3 hours with anyone coming in to check on him or to even give us an update on when the doctor will arrive. I can understand if the doctor was busy but so many nurses walked by without saying anything or even to finish hooking up the pulse reader that the triage nurse had already started on his tiny foot. There was absolutely no hospitality or compassion. After waiting for over 3 hours I finally gathered my things and my baby and politely told them we were leaving. The doctor came out and apologized for taking a long time. Which I understood but not one nurse came to check on my baby. The nurses who were standing around were giving me the dirtiest looks and not saying anything. I felt so uncomfortable and will never return to this hospital. I should have read the reviews but I just wanted to get my son to the er right away. I was able to take him to a different hospital where he received proper care and was taken care of in a compassionate manner. These nurses were very rude and careless? The doctor seemed very nice and was apologetic.
Labor and delivery staff is rude. The labor and delivery staff and doctors are not on the same page as far as rules and Covid restrictions. My wife had to get monitoring done and I was out of town and she had care for our daughter but they were two hours away so my wife called explaining the situation and ask if she could bring our daughter until help could come get her and they threatened to call CPS on her if she brought our child up there. They’re not family friendly, very unprofessional, and absolutely rude.
My daughter spent over 30 days at hospital. They care she received was outstanding! From the nurses, social manager, aids to doctors, my daughter was treated with all she needed! The staff were kind, gentle, caring & very professional! Thank you for giving your best because we couldn’t ask for more than you & your hospital!
I have nothing but positive things to say about NCBH’s L&D, postpartum, nursery, and lactation consultants. All of the nurses were kind and helped me through my surprise induction, delivery, and postpartum period. Anywhere from getting me chapstick, ice, cleaning up bloody sheets, helping me push through contractions, teaching me how to make postpartum pads, watching our baby, etc. was not to much to ask- even when they were busy, they made sure to check on me and ensure I had everything I needed. I’m a big baby with needles, IVs, etc. and they were really sweet about it all. Even when I was on magnesium via IV and having a horrible time- the nurses helped me through it all. Ashley was my absolute favorite in labor and delivery. She was amazing, really took her time getting to know me and my hubby, helping me through contractions, and even tried to stay for a bit to witness my birth which went past her shift. Thank you so much Ashley!!! These nurses were also great in postpartum: Shaelee Yesenia Tiffany And there are so many other people I’d like to thank but can’t remember their names. The access to lactation consultants, nursery, etc. Is so helpful. I was given a complimentary massage which was also awesome. The room service is also pretty good considering. The nurses also sent me home with some supplies for postpartum which was really helpful. Overall a good experience!! Only thing I’d say is that they need to have a better ratio of postpartum nurses to patients. There were a few times that the postpartum nurses were overwhelmed with 6-7 patients at a time and it made it hard for me to get my pain meds on time or ask for help at times they all tried their best and were as quick as possible- but it was hard for them to keep up!!
We went to the E.R. , from the time we got there and throughout our 3- 4 day stay, the employees were very helpful. The PCA, the techs, the nurses, and the doctors were friendly and accommodating to my 13 yr old daughter and I. Answered all my questions & calmed all my anxieties with the results. My daughter ended up having appendicitis. We definitely recommend this hospital for any of your emergency needs. Thank you to all of the staff! Ya'll work hard with a smile all day and night.
Me and my girlfriend would not recommend this hospital at all. The staff have no regard for HIPPA laws. They will talk amongst themselves and discuss your confidential information in front of you. I can't even explain how dirty this facility truly is. The staff gave my girlfriend a blanket that had a red blood stain. Another blanket with what looked like feces and another with an ekg sticker on it witch indicates that they don't even try to keep the linnen up to hospital standards. This is my worst labor and delivery experience I ever had. We've felt so uncomfortable and violated the whole time being under this hospitals care. Please don't go to this hospital.
My daughter had the worst experience in the er with my 5 month old grandson. The dr was very unprofessional . Not very thorough at all. It’s alot to explain what happened . But I would never have her go there again. These are babies and they need to be more caring and thorough!! Not talk about you right outside the room where you can here all the negativity the dr is saying . Not professional no compassion as what baptist suppose to represent.
Worst experience ever. I knew right from the beginning with the pre registration it was going to be challenging. I arrived for my surgery 45 minutes early and still had to wait almost two hours for prep. My recovery was horrible i was in recovery for hours. The staff was not attentive for me and my family. I was put in a room without any instructions just left alone.
Lady at the er intake named Ashley. She had pink hair. She was the rudest person I have ever met. We asked to speak to a supervisor which she I guess didn't like. She proceeded to tell us to sit in these two chairs nearby...then said we had to wait int the waiting room. this was all because my grandpa was brought in and we chose hospice for end of life care. they would only allow 2 people back to visit even though hospice is involved. she then proceeded to no longer allow 2 people back and said we all had to wait. We have always been allowed back when end of life is the outcome. So I stood there waiting and I had my phone in my hand. she then secured me of filming her which I was not. I think she's seen to many tic toys or maybe she new she was being rude. who knows. so not only is my grandpa here dying but they won't allow family members back and call security for absurd accusations. I talked with Timothy Sullivin who said he will investigate. but im sure nothing will come of it.
Sedation team and audiology was great for our 2 year old, however even though an MRI was performed, no images were ever sent to PACS and eventually automatically deleted on the original MRI machine. Very disappointed and angry at this entire waste of time and lack of paying attention to detail.
