If your journey begins with a formal education, Veterans Educational Training is here to help you. V.E.T. is a program of study that will prepare you for a certification program, two-year or four-year college degree. We will work to help you succeed in post-secondary education through classes and programs designed to ease the transition into life in higher education. Our classes are on campus, or are available online to individuals outside a campus location.
Who is Eligible?
-US Citizens
-Any North Dakota veteran planning to attend school in North Dakota
-Veterans who have served a minimum of 181 days or received a service disability under 181 days
-Any discharge other than dishonorable
What Does it Cost?
Veterans Educational Training services are provided free to qualified veterans. While attending classes, you may be eligible to receive educational benefits such as Montgomery GI Bill, Post 9/11 GI Bill, VA Vocational Rehabilitation or other veteran education and assistance programs.

The mission of Veterans Educational Training (VET) is to guide and prepare veterans for the rigors of and successful admission into postsecondary education in North Dakota.
We achieve this by developing, improving, and advancing academic skills through individualized academic plans, needs assessments, instruction in an environment with fellow veterans, mentoring, and other academic support activities.
