Worst experience I’ve had at a dentist. Looks like they love to charge for deep cleaning. Check the other reviews. They all seem to have a very similar to my experience. They charged me $270 and I asked for the bill several times and never received one. Definitely not going back and won’t recommend.
Unprofessional office staff. My son had an appointment scheduled for this morning at 8AM to have a tooth pulled as he has braces. His orthodontist sent the order over. I have been talking to the office staff about his appointment for over a month. Today is the day of the appointment at 8AM. My mother takes him and is there at 7:30Am. I get a phone call from the office about signing a consent form for my mom taking, fine no big deal. The office staff then advises at 8AM the time of the appointment that they need a new order from the orthodontist. Excuse me? This office has been calling me periodically about this appointment and I spoke with them yesterday for about 20 minutes about the pre-surgery instructions for my son. You're telling me you're just now seeing this the day of the appointment. They made excuses and just wasted my time, my mother's and my son's as he has to go back to school. They then tried to say the oral surgeon hasn't seen him in over 2 years.. Why would you need to see him if he doesn't need oral surgery, this is also his regular dentist? It then changed to if we get a new order then we can see him at 11AM. No thank you! I'm done with this practice.
Only go to this dentist if you want to feel like you have been at a used car lot. I should have learned my lesson after the first couple of experiences and not gone back for the second cleaning. When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I paid up front based on the estimated costs which was totally off base. They overcharged me by ~$1,000. After a few weeks they sent me a refund. I checked with my insurance and the refund they sent was half of what they owed me. After fighting with them to get the other half back which took almost a month they still only refunded about 90% of what they owed me. They were supposed to call in medication for me during my wisdom teeth removal. They hadn't done it before I left. It took 3 separate phone calls from my wife for them to call in my prescription. They are fast and loose with the dental charge codes. I have scheduled a standard dental cleaning twice because that is what is covered by insurance. They continuously charge other codes so what should be a cleaning 100% covered by my insurance they expect me to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket. They are incredibly pushy about upselling you services. This is not only the worst dentist I have visited in my life, it is probably the worst business I have ever interacted with.
My wife went here for a cleaning, asked several times for only what was covered by her insurance, and was given a hard sell on a $600 deep clean treatment. When she refused, they refused to perform a basic cleaning, and insisted on a version that included an additional out-of-pocket cost. After reading multiple reviews, it looks like this is a standard practice for this place, happening to people with generally healthy teeth my wife had no cavities. Avoid this business unless you want to have your time wasted and a bunch of unpleasant billing surprises.
Fraudulent and deceptive practices and a knack for wasting time. Apppointment was over 2.5 hours long and less than ten minutes of that was a “cleaning”, Dr. Wheeless spent less than 30 seconds conducting an exam.
I’m a fairly new patient who was referred by a friend. So far, I’m going with the flow while observing how the staff conducts business. Funny thing, during the time of writing this review the office manager Ms. Michelle hope I spelled her name right walks in to check on me I didn’t know she was the office manager. I stopped immediately and addressed a few issues. Ms. Michelle was very receptive of my feedback. Now, I will move this from a 3 star to a 4 star. Let’s see if my feedback will be addressed or if it fell on deaf ears. Also I must say, Ms. Gaston who works the front desk phenomenal and her customer service is outstanding.
The front office staff here are great and Dr. Pulliam is very friendly. Through multiple visits in the past 6 months, I’m seeing a pattern of severe lack of priority and sense of urgency: • we are on hour 4 after discharge from wisdom tooth extraction where the oral surgeon STILL hasn’t put in the prescription for pain meds. This is with 2 calls to the office where the staff has to “gently nudge” then another has to send an urgent message to the oral surgeon to submit the prescription. This combined with the wait time at the pharmacy to then fill the prescription means 1 anesthesia can wear off any time now and 2 caretaker ends up having to take the day off so meds can be picked up. Why is this not a routine step before the patient is discharged to submit the prescription for a common procedure? • tooth cleaning appointment takes 2.5 hours from x-ray to out the door. There are so many hand-offs once the visit begins that you really have to allot more time in your schedule to accommodate a routine appointment. Unless you’ve got a lot of time on your hands and want to go without pain meds after oral surgery, take this into consideration before scheduling with this practice.
Absolutely the most pleasant Dentist, staff, and office I've encountered in my decades of going to the dentist. Everyone is friendly, personable, and you can tell they care! Also, they typically have a current or recent movie streaming if you're like me and come early to your appointments. Dr. Pulliam and her staff are certainly appreciated!
The staff here were so delightful and professional! While the dentist can be no fun, they did a wonderful job of explaining what was going on and getting to know me as a new patient. They were careful and kind which goes a long way!
