North Providence Library: Children's Department

The kids room with the kitchen and where most of the fun toys are seems to ALWAYS be closed. Apparently because they’re short staffed. It to me is ridiculous considering they make parents stay in the room while their children are playing. Also the heavier set woman in the kids area that works there is always rude. I take her to be the the head lady it seems. She just is not pleasant.

Yesterday I needed help figuring out a few things how to get my card number, password, and find free passes to area attractions, and Stefanie, the director was beyond helpful!! I love when a boss is happy to help with things, that normally they'd direct you to their staff for assistance... even though I'm sure she was so busy doing her job...it shows what kind of work ethic comes from the top there! A great library, great staff and great leadership! 5 stars!

It's always a lovely and peaceful experience visiting this library. It's beautifully decorated for the holidays and they always have a lot to offer the library members of our community. Love coming here!

Very quiet and very clean. All of the staff have been nothing but nice, knowledgable, and helpful every single time I visit. Will continue to visit for books, movies, and printing from the computers. So glad to live nearby.

the food is great. The method of serving is amazing! Thin sheets all stacked and bound together. And packed with flavor too! It lets you chose whether you want savor eat bite by eating one ate a time or just to chow down like a sandwich haha. Love how it's an all you can eat place too. You can go up and down the shelves looking for the right flavor. The waiters are nowhere to be seen but thats okay.

Everytime I go to the north providence library this happens, someone is being rude to me or a child is bullying my 2 year old. I come here so my daughter can learn and do crafts and have fun. I live here in north providence but I usually go to the johston library because the people their are very polite and nice.. my daughter loves to play and every kid there are nice to her. So I AM NEVER EVER EVER GOING BACK HERE....

I have a balance due from 10 years ago on my card for about 20 dollars. I returned the books, why couldn't you guys just wave the fee for me : I literally don't even want to step foot in there anymore I'm too embarrassed. Also you can only browse for 15 minutes now which kind of defeats the purpose of a library.

A nice, well-stocked library with a good staff. One star removed because they often close prematurely at the slightest hint of inclement weather i.e. an inch of snow will usually close the facility. Otherwise, they are accommodating and a good resource for the community.

I love this library, it has a big selection to choose from, and if you need to study there are two study/business rooms on the second floor that are comfortable and quiet. Always something new to read and just a great environment.
