Northbrook Animal Hospital

I am so happy we found this place. I have been to a few vets over the years and Northbrook impressed me with their caring attitudes and professionalism. I love the separate waiting areas, but so far we haven't had to wait too long in them to be seen. Everything was done in a timely manner without feeling rushed. It was great that we knew the results of testing while at the visit. Pricing on services is extremely reasonable. Which we are very thankful for since we are a multiple pet household. I highly recommend this vet clinic.

Super kind, wonderful staff. I had to put down my old boy and they were so gentle with he and myself. I’ve been bringing our new puppy there, too. He’s had a lot of random health issues and they are very thorough. They are a little expensive but I think that’s Vets in general. that being said, I won’t take my boys anywhere else, ever again.

The clinic was expecting me and my dog so was able to be brought in right away. Very courteous and attentive the whole time. I'm glad that we moved to Northbrook Animal Hospital for my dogs care.

Recommended by a friend who takes her dog and cat to Northbrook. I took my newly adopted senior cat to Northbrook Animal Hospital for shots and a checkup. The doctors and staff took excellent care of my cat, who was pretty nervous and didn't like being handled. They were compassionate and professional with a cat who was not very cooperative. There are separate waiting rooms for dogs and cats, so my cat wasn't exposed to a dog who might make her more nervous.

My experiences with Northbrook have been by far the most pleasant experiences I have had with vet clinics. They truly care about your pet and their care. They also handle high anxiety dogs very well.

So I haven’t needed a vet in a long time and originally picked this office because I needed one asap and it was one of 2 that was closest. I would have to wait a week to get into the other, I got in here in 2 days and I’m sure the other place is good but I’m glad I ended up here!! I didn’t have to wait long and the intake lady was very nice and understanding. The Dr was very nice and caring towards my cat. She noticed my other concerns before I even mentioned them. I thought she was very thorough and wanted to make sure all options were covered. I did have to drop a big chunk of money for bloodwork which they do there but I already know it would be expensive. And I would do whatever I can for my baby. Luckily I had some money saved up. I got her results the next day with good news thankfully cuz I was worried for a min from the Dr herself! I have to bring her back in 2wks. Overall my experience was good no great! Everyone was nice and caring and helpful. I will definitely use this vet again!! I would like to address Jinny A-R, I don’t see how your friends visit could have been that horrible. Maybe it was on off day, maybe the Dr over booked so she help as many pets possible and the visit wasn’t as you thought. Never once did I feel remotely close to how your review said. If your friend felt that way, shouldn’t she have said something during the visit? And without you having your own visit, I don’t think you should be posting negative comments when you weren’t even there.

My wife and I have been going here for almost 2 years now. They are worth every penny! They have on site lab work which is amazing! Female owned and operated which we both love. The staff is always super friendly and thoughtul. They work with us when money is tight and give us several options/routes we can take depending on finances because sometimes a vet visit can be unplanned. I highly recommend going here for anyone in the area!

Got in on time and they did great with my dog. Had great conversation with the vet and tech as this was the first visit here. This is my vet going forward.

They are quick to respond phone and email, flexible with scheduling, and are good at following up a few days after a visit if it was in regards something worrisome. Communication during the visit was also great. Having multiple waiting rooms is great especially for dogs that are on the more timid/protective side. And of course, that humourous sign on the shelf always gets a cheesy smile out of me!

Always an amazing experience - so caring and insightful! Thanks for taking great care of Indy! We initial chose them because they were so close to our home but we moved 20+ minutes away and still come back - totally worth the drive!
