While my husband play soccer, my son enjoys a water splash, this little place is good for children. Playground: it has a little play ground with sand Restrooms: clean restrooms Dog-friendliness: shade and trees to walk with the dog iñ a hot day. Picnic area: has tables under some trees.
This is a huge park. It has everything but is king of hard to find. They have a skate park and a splash pad. The walking paths are nice and shaded. We found a nice playground almost hidden. It was by the diamonds. They has nice bathrooms. They had gasbags and even recycle cansZ the playground was covered by a huge shade and the wind blew nicely to keep away the big.
I walked here earlier today to see if there are pickleball courts. The two tennis courts both have markings for pickleball. My wife and I will come back to play soon. The rest of the park looks very nice with playground and biking/walking paths.
This park has several playgrounds, all shaded with canopies. They are perfect for toddlers and younger children as they they include both a smaller structure and bigger one for older kids. Great walking trails here as well.
We didn't have a chance to explore all of the park space, but it was a fun place to visit. The only reason I give 4 and not 5 stars is because it seems to not be maintained well. All picnic tables are damaged, are warped, or unusable. Some wooden structures have exposed rusted nails. Other than this, there is a great swing set, a nice covered area with good, functional tables, a rock climbing feature for kids, and a good sidewalk for walking. There are also many spaces with large open fields, so this park would be really great for playing some sports, doing gymnastics, flying a kite, playing with a drone, playing badminton or laying out a blanket for a picnic. We also saw a decently sized skate park. I do. It know much about skate parks, so I am not the best to rate it. However, we saw many people there enjoying it immensely. The people varied in ages and abilities, using skateboards, roller skates, roller blades, and scooters. I'm not sure if there are more areas of this park which we did. It see, as we were merely passing through and stopping to stretch our legs. But I would definitely visit this park again!
I come here to play in the turf fields but occasionally we’ll get set on the grass and they’ve made significant improvements through out the years.
Skatepark: Overall it is a decent park, but it needs an update and remodel or expansion to improve the street sections. There are too many transition areas that are too big, and other obstacles that are poorly placed or not well designed, to the point that some go almost completely unused. The lone flatbar is in a terrible spot and the weird round manual pads are too tall, not wide enough, and poorly situated. There is a sort of snake run transition area that is almost never skated and a waste of space. By far, one of the most skated obstacles is a single ledge that is about 8 feet long. The park needs a remodel or expansion on the east side which is all grass at the moment to improve the street areas - adding more ledges of different lengths and heights, basic curbs and usable manual pads, lower hubbas, and flatbars that are in spots that people can actually skate. This will engage more skaters of different skill levels. I hope the city considers this, and if so, takes cues or the builder from the new Dickies park in DFW.
We rate this the best Skatepark around the Austin area. Has something for everyone into sports ,or just to come watch your kiddos play. Clean bathrooms also. Summer hours for the skatepark is 10:00pm. Nice.
Great spot. Not over crowded. Well kept and peaceful. Trail has trees overhanging the path. Serene and tranquil. Bring bug spray!
Always have a great time with the family here. There are great walking and biking trails, not to mention a beautiful Pecan tree grove.
