Northern Michigan University's Museum of Zoology is home to several diverse collections consisting of donations and active collecting efforts located throughout the USA.
This is the official page for Northern Michigan University's Museum of Zoology located in Marquette, Michigan. We house over 2,000 specimens and are working on growing the collection as much as possible. Our specimen's come from donations and trapping trips from throughout the year, much of which include current students at NMU. We have helped in numerous research projects, as well as events in our area.
To promote the importance of preserving biological specimens, which may be used in future initiatives that aid in research done by community members in various areas of interest, as well as to educate the community about various species and their vast range of characteristics.
