This place is fantastic. Music practice rooms, theater, pool, great ed tech and nice classrooms. Super nice campus.
Once again, I'm disappointed by the coaches. After successfully navigating admissions, I was placed in a class that doesn't align with my chosen career path. This class is both irrelevant to my goals and straining my budget. Had I known, I'd have waited for a more suitable course next semester. In a recent online coaching session, the coach seemed indifferent and only advised following a tutorial to drop the course - no real assistance given.
Good place. The view is incredible. The kite festival was there , it was very good but full of crowds. Really omg . But it’s looks very nice when see the kites flying. So many activities are there . Fun and Time-pass. Good for everyone.
This is a big and beautiful community college located in Irving. They have big parking space. They have nice and careful teachers who even text to remind you about an upcoming exam.
The best college experience I have ever had. Great place to learn and make friends.
I’m a online student for Dallas college until I apply to the nursing program but I may end up on North Lake or Brookhaven haven’t decided
Full disclosure: I'm not a student at this time. However, based on what I've heard from close family, if my plan to go back to school succeeds, I'm really hoping to spend most of my time at this campus. From what I understand, the educators are great. The campus looks clean-though I'll say it could, maybe, use a facelift. I love the location-right on a light-rail path that goes all the way downtown and the other direction all the way to the airport. Nearby is a nature preserve between Northlake and Singley Academy that is lovely. There's a golf course nearby-which is nice for people who like golf, at least. And fast food fairly nearby, North on MacArthur, about a mile or so. Nearby housing has higher appraisal-not that most people would care, but it might give an idea of the general economic standing in the area... Ahem. ⁰ If i could change anything, it might be to increase the speed limit on the road leading from the campus, past the DART station, ending at MacArthur. It can be a bit painful to go that far and that is by car. They have a pool that is good and open to the public at times, a baseball diamond, etc. AND, if you want a dose of adorable, at the lake, nearest the MacArthur bridge there are turtles! Also, the occasional stork. That said, I've heard a few negative things about some staffers, not teachers. I'm not going to share them here, at this time. Oh! If you like geocaching, there are several locations nearby.
Took my History and Chem classes at North Lake.. Pretty decent infrastructure and a lovely library
Stopped by here today to check on the testing center procedures for taking a college exam. I went by the cashier station and she did not know what I was talking about when I asked if she knew how I was to pay for the exam. Cashier sent me over to the test taken center who did not know how to administer the same exam. Eventually I was taken to another location where the individual there advised that they did not offer the exam at this location. I simply advised this individual that their location was listed as one that would offer the exam. This whole experience gave me the impression that somebody does not know what's going on but everyone I spoke to was very willing to help.
The enrollment process is such a headache and terrible experience. I was humiliated by one of their employees working in admissions. He was a middle aged man of mixed decent, bald and tall. His tone towards me was extremely condescending, he found ways to belittle me. This campus has often misplaced my documents. There’s no sense of privacy when speaking to the admissions people. Everyone can hear your private business, I don’t appreciate that. There are simply too many people and not enough staff. The process is horrible. They need to figure out their logistics.
