During covid19 there were 20 people in the waiting room, nobody checking Temps at the door and called back 15 minutes later. Over an hour wait for a blood test, and the don't take appointments. Lines inside and outside cause confusion, a disorganized mess.
I came for a blood draw for the first time a week ago. The girl called my name from inside the room, not being familiar I was looking around because I didn’t know where to go. She finally popped out so I followed. She told me I was not in the system although I have a standing order. There was a miscue but she would not help me. Ultimately after I made 3 phone calls and 2 hours later I got my 2 minute blood draw. Northshore has always been the best in my experience but they have changed. What happened to helping the patient? It would have taken her a minute to make a call and help me. It’s very frustrating- the kindness I once felt is no longer.
The physician who saw me today for a routine check up went above and beyond. Dr. Doss was unhappy to hear that a previous prescription I had was unaffordable for me, so she took extra time to find an alternative but equally effective prescription option. She also was very attentive in asking about my family history and took extra care after learning that I was adopted to make sure she had an understanding that I was aware of paying attention to any possible inherent conditions and gave me not negative responses, but positive encouragement to stay on top of my health. Social distancing was in full swing at the Deerfield office, and the desk attendants were very diligent in directing patients as such.
This medical group has terrible communication. I was told only after arriving to the appointment that they instated a new policy days prior whereby only one parent was allowed in the room with a child. I waited in the parking lot for over an hour. Any other medical group would at least offer a courtesy call to let their patients' parents know theyre not welcome. These large healthcare giants have no manners and treat their patients like nothing more than expendable revenue.
I've always had my blood work done at my Doctor's office but they were under construction so i had to use this lab. My annual blood work has always been covered almost entirely. But this time they charged well over $600 for blood work! The staff was nice and did a decent job drawing my blood, but I'm not sure they were $600 worth.
This center is not recommend. They want charges for immediate service but won't take u in for registration 30 min before or won't let u sit in their facility. Hope they immediately improve on immediate service.
From the moment you enter this facility you feel unwelcome. The waiting room is dark and dirty. The front desk staff are rude and incompetent. I was told I would have an 11 minute wait, and I ended up having to wait for over an hour. There seems to be no rhyme or reason at this place, they just called people in a random order with many people who arrived well after me being called first. I only gave them 2 stars because the doctors here are decent at their jobs. The nurses are hit or miss, some are nice while others are rude.
Several visits over the last couple of years have been good. Very supportive nice staff and nurses. Only complaints are that the communication systems is quite opaque and relying on the northshore connect system is cumbersome if you want to talk to someone which I find better and easier than messaging. It isn't clear who you need to talk to or how to communicate if you need more than what has been provided. Nice clean and comfortable facility.
Very prompt in scheduling patients in. Very fast in and out for vaccines and blood tests. The medical assistant who has done all my vaccines is an extremely pleasant woman, very professional. Just a shame it's so far from me!
Went here for immediate care for my wife. She needed care and stitches for a nasty cut below her knee. The help she got was excellent.
