The staff was very friendly and helpful. They are very human and they are always patient, kind, professional. We have been here two months since my nephew's diagnosis and we have no negative comments. I am grateful for all the attention received by the doctors, nurses, cleaning staff. I just have to say thank you.
Growing up in and out the hospital. This is the first hospital that I’ve been in that treats patients the way they do. My visit was extremely kind, caring, attentive and professional. My team of doctors and nurses went over and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, and aware of everything that was happening. Every question I asked had an answer. The food wasn’t bad and my room was cleaned daily. That hospital is my go to from now on. The nurses in the emergency department and 6 floor are the best!!! I can’t remember everyone but Deedee, Noelle, Samuela, Dion, Veronica, and many more made my visit extremely special. Thank you for getting me right!
This hospital some great attributes.I’ve been admitted here several times. The nurses and other support staff are amazing. The biggest issue for me are the doctors. Some of the lack compassion, are unfriendly and often ignore your concerns. I have a serious long standing Condition that can cause severe pain. They have allowed me to hurt for hours because they assume everyone is abusing the pain meds. I’ve NEVER abused drugs of any kind. If they had looked thoroughly to my records they would’ve seen that. This hospital definitely has its pros and cons.
My dad has been bed ridden and stuck here for almost 2 months now. In that time, majority of the nurses did a great job. Some are in a rush and just want to get out of there, but they still mostly get the job done. This is fine honestly. The reason why the average score is due to the massive lack of communication. In that time I received a total of 2 phone calls. Both from the doctor and both saying that he would be giving routine updates. I attempted to call the doctor back 15-20 times throughout the weeks but could never reach him. He also didn't have his voicemail setup. I honestly had no clue what was going on at all. No idea what they found out, no idea what medicine they had him on, and clueless if he was dealing with something life threatening. I asked the nurses and they would only tell me what medicine he was on and for how long. One day I went to visit him in his usual room and he was gone. Had to ask around where he was and finally found out they moved him to a different floor. No one told me. So all in all, great hospital and great staff but horrible communication.
I am new to Atlanta and to Northside Hospital. The care I have received from their doctors and technicians is wonderful. However, the billing department at Northside Hospital leaves a lot to be desired. When you get them on the phone they are nice and polite but basically seem to read script cards. If anyone is required to think or go beyond their pay level, everything just shuts down. People do not return phone calls, they ignore letter. and apparently no really knows what to do. The Northside Hospital billing department simply kicks the can down the road. Not sure if this department is contracted out, but there should be a major customer service intervention here. So sad and disguising. We deserve better than this Northside.
I had a wonderful experience here at Northside Hospital. More often than not, hospitals tend to only receive negative reviews & don’t receive their fair share of positive feedback. This won’t be the case with me. I was very satisfied with how this staff handled my mother’s visit. Both nurses & doctors were very helpful & diligent throughout the visit. They communicated well & would periodically check on us. Yes, there was a wait, but that was to be expected due to the hospital being in a high traffic area. The wait time was reasonable & at the end, all of our concerns were addressed. Thank you Northside ER Department
Decent enough hospital. Delivery was fine. Rooms are slightly small but overall okay. However, I can absolutely not tolerate fraud in official entities like hospitals. They are essentially stealing people's money, legally. 8 months after the birth of our son we get a bill for $1352. Nobody knows what it's for or why it was erroneously generated. Asking for our insurance because it's not on file. No itemized receipt. No phone call to explain. What's sad about this is that even if there was a partial payment problem that wasn't shown on the initial bill for some reason, it was not shown in the notes the reason for it, and our medical records are required to be kept for at a minimum 1 year, so claiming that they just accidentally deleted it or lost our record with insurance info, with an attempt to charge the individuals a bill is pure fraud. I am lucky enough to have Tricare where they cover everything for a birth so I know for a fact that I owe them nothing, but for some people I'm sure they are tricked into paying money they don't have to a hospital that I'm sure isn't hurting for money.
All the staff I interacted with are great. But why for the love of all that is good why does it take 1 hour to fill a single tablet prescription so I can leave when y’all are flooded. Needs better management. Also, the receptionist needs to be taught empathy. My husband was helping me in because I could not see and was having a nonverbal meltdown. She yelled at him to back up, and ultimately made me more uncomfortable and stressed. I’ve worked hospital admin, and that’s a shame that she thinks that behavior is acceptable to someone walking up to the counter to check in
I am currently in the ER and I have been here for nearly 6 hours. I have been asking for something to eat since I got here. I haven't eaten since yesterday. No remote control for the TV. I saw a Dr for no more than 5 minutes when I got here. I've received absolutely treatment. And I have insurance. WOW
The hospital overall was extremely care driven. I was taken back and seen quickly. I, unfortunately, was there for a rather long stay and noticed that the quality of care went downhill as I was a resident. I would ring the buzzer for help and nobody would answer. On two separate occasions I did not receive a meal. Two nurses in particular spoke poorly of myself and their clients while in my earshot one poking fun at another’s disabilities. On the other hand, most of the nurses were encouraging and supportive. They clearly enjoyed their jobs and wanted the best for their clients. To these nurses and doctors, I am extremely grateful for you. If there is one place you need to trust in others, it’s at the Hospital.
