Northwest Florida Spine is an orthopedic spine surgery practice in Panama City, Florida.
Dr. Michael X. Rohan, Jr., is a fourth generation physician and a third generation orthopedic surgeon. He was born and raised in Panama City, Florida. He has been in private orthopedic spine surgery practice since 2007.
Dr. Rohan attended Bay High School in Panama City, Florida. He then went on to the University of Florida for his undergraduate degree. Then, he attended Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He then completed a spine surgery fellowship at the world-renowned Texas Back Institute in Plano, Texas, where he was exposed to the latest innovations including minimally invasive surgery, motion preservation surgery, and artificial disk replacement.
Dr. Rohan specializes in adult spinal disorders including degenerative disease, deformity, and trauma. He surgically treats problems in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. Dr. Rohan is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon and is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics. He has also participated in spine surgery research projects and has published his results in the annual meeting of the North American Spine Society.
